just stop… like… just stop. Stop with trying to increase player engagement with Comp mode… quality of matches is so horrible that only QP people play comp during these events… so, just stop. Stop trying to change what already works. Don’t be J A G U A R.
that new ad was…also where are the cars?
Should they be a kittycat instead?
they revealed one model in two colours… omg… its horrible!
just stills of the car? or a ‘commercial’?
not a commercial. Like how Tesla reveals on a stage… like that.
Is it big cat or expensive car?
Guys, its about the terrible Jaguar (cat brand) ad, that had no cards in it and featured strange people in it and then they complained that people called them “weirdos”…
Still seem to miss the point, what this has to do with ranked. A drive will happen every season if that is what you mean.
point being, y change something that works… Jag had an identity and a heritage that worked…but they changed it and now it seems bad.
Comp system worked in OW. Now they are changing it with all these events… but it’s bad.
Jaguar as in the car brand or the new world’s largest member of the Felidae family Panthera Onca?
I thought maybe this was a reference to the Atari Jaguar…
GET OFF MY LAWN!
unsure if its considered a car brand anymore…that weird pink colour…
Are you talking about a pink jaguar as in the car brand or the pink-coloured cartoon panther?
just google new jaguar…you will be in for a surprise, but first watch the commercial
are you talking about the new jaguar as in a new release from the car brand or a baby of the panthera onca species
okay got kinda far i’ll stop now
tbh, no one thought it was funny.
Do you mean no one as the defining expresion of the english lenguage that denotes the absense of a subject or the hit song “No One” by Alicia Keys?
Wasn’t Jaguar “redefining” their image/product to appeal to a tiny segment of the population that largely can’t even afford their crappy high maintenance luxury cars? (Definitely an odd strategy on their part.) I can certainly see OP’s concern for how their rebranding kinda parallel’s Blizzard strategy for “redefining” Overwatch for similar reasons.
Although in truth, Overwatch was very much only partly “redefined” in that way, with its management’s focus on creating and meeting their defined internal ESG scores. The other biggest rationale behind redefining their product was for ditching loot boxes (out of fear they’d lose business from countries banning them) to copy Fortnite’s more profitable model, for the sake of maximizing profit at the cost of customer experience through escapism and enjoyability.
In regards to the former reason (OP’s worry), I think the somewhat bigger picture isn’t just Blizzard, but is reflective of Microsoft’s internal company culture and agenda for their gaming division. That said, I thought I heard they have been moving away from all the virtue signaling as it’s kinda getting obvious from societal trends that people are getting tired and fed up with the inflammatory social messaging bordering on social engineering and resulting unappealing products—something that is, of course, more reflective of the much bigger problem (as of late) with the AAA games industry (and arguably the output of the entire western entertainment industry). I’m hoping the AAA games industry at least can course correct before falling all the way down into another video game crash.
jaguar promised a car for 5 years that will redefine what a car is, then did nothing, take off your old car you loved driving and now they are charging you for basic functions your old car had?
So I looked up the new jaguar and all I can say is ewwww.
I’m not even taking the colour into consideration but it looks like a cybertruck that has been sat on.
And the flat front… Really thinking about pedestrian safety there aren’t you?
Blizz aren’t doing a jaguar… Jaguar are doing a Blizzard.
A proper revolutionary design would be a small lightweight electric car instead of the land barges we have on the roads today.
