They removed Mcree’s noose spray and replaced it with a horse shoe. A noose has nothing to do with race. Its not offensive and its not racist. This is ridiculous.

Also, here’s a collection of people complaining about it. So yes, there were people calling for it to be removed or pointing out how morbid it is.

That spray can also be used to signal racism if they want it. Bad luck on top of Fist. for example. Stupid change that does nothing. What’s next? Remove bad luck?

Ummmm…my post is about a Roadhog spray. I didn’t mention anything about a noose…
I can see why they did it to be honest.
Not only can it be used to symbol self harm and other things that can bring up some bad memories, but it could also be used in fairly risky ways.
It’s a minor cosmetic change and the new one is still nice, gg.
It’s sad. In a better world the spray would remain as the reference to the cool movie that it was.

Personally I never saw any connection for it to anything other than Lynching, and always felt it was somewhat awkward.
If it had any other meaning to it, it’s too obscure to matter. Same reason we don’t use swastikas or lightning strikes anymore.

It used to be number 3 top movie of all time on IMDB but I think it’s like number 7 now.

Paper Mario TTYD has a gallows in the town square. If Paper Mario can handle a noose, Overwatch can too.
I’m not too torn up about the deal, it’s more the principle of the matter that’s just wonky.

I’m pretty sure they removed it due to how some players used it. It’s hardly comparable to Paper Mario in this regard. I’m sure we’ve all seen people placing them over Lucio and Doomfist sprays in particular.
