Mercy didn’t get a buff for her mythic or charity skins. Rein deserved the buffs. He’s been bad for a long time.
If someone got a skin and they were buffed to encourage people to get the skin, wouldn’t that be a type of pay to win? Not literally, but it’s real close.
Rein is still not as good as many other tanks lol
Just because a hero gets a skin or a mythic, does not mean that the hero is strong or good in the meta.
You say it with such surprise? It’s happened over and over since OW2. Bald faced (and I do mean bald) outright lying to everyone to take their money (PvE), that’s been proven in all the media. Just look at all the scummy practices. It’s pretty clear they put the game on a dripfeed system to keep it running and push sales through the shop.
For example, this season was pretty much skins, the battlepass ones were naff and only really the rein skin any good was hugely overpriced like they always are.
When 100% of your revenue comes from selling digital trinkets, that’s what the game becomes, an online digital trinket shop.
The DVA buff, the Ram buff, and the reverted Zarya buff were all significantly larger.
