A tip is anyone that ignores shields (Winston, Rein) counters Brig very well. Her DPS is poopoo
It is a team based game, just like you said. So in all cases in a team fight, Brigitte counters Rein and Doomfist for sure, as per reasons I stated before. Junkrat is neutral; he cannot kill the Brigitte easily at all. And if you consider Bastion a counter to brig, then Bastion counters nearly the entire roster due to his firepower. But guess what? His firepower means nothing because he can easily be dove, stunned, and rendered entirely useless because this is a team game. Brigitte contributes to an anti-pirate ship (bastion) comp.
Now I understand you are hard stuck plat, and I have no idea how poor of quality games you have down there, but I am 99% sure Brig is even more powerful in plat and lower ranks than she is in higher ranks. (due to her taking no skill of course)
Blizz admit they made a mistake about mishandling how to balance something in their games?
(No I don’t think Brig is OP, overtuned yes but then again she was Blizz “We give up on trying to counter Dive so we’re just going to give this hero everything”)
She doesn’t really need changes herself, I think we hat she really needs is more counters to her, Hammond was pretty muchch the opposite of that, she has only 2 reliable counters (pharra and junkrat) but they themselves can be easily countered (mccree or any long range hero).
But talking to brigitte herself, maybe nerf her AOE healing (unable it when hacked) and make her shield “after broken” cool down , besides that key change the way it interacts with barriers
Bastion was designed, as stated by the devs, to counter barrier heroes. Brigitte is a barrier hero. She can do much less against him than someone who is meant to counter him, such as a say a Hanzo. Brigitte’s team can help her overcome a counter, but that is NOT same thing as those heroes not being counters.
If Widowmaker tries to snipe me on Brigitte, but gets outsniped first by my team’s widowmaker, that doesn’t make Widow cease to be a counter to Brig or mean that I countered that particular Widowmaker.
To suggest otherwise is blatantly absurd. There is a huge difference between a counter being in a weak or nonviable state, and the hero not being designed to counter that hero in the first place.
Ad hominem attacks are logical fallacies. If you want to counter that argument because you know more, you should be capable of doing that. If you can’t do that, then you should accept that the other person may have a point. Or you could continue attempting to get overly personal just because somebody disagreed with you and that hurts your feelings. Your choice.
I will say that I will not continue this conversation if you decide to do that again though.

Asking a major company to admit something, especially about something that is purely entertainment and does not affect the well-being of real human beings who work and play in the real world, is kinda… I dunno… I wish someone would find a good word for me.
Either way… they’ll never admit to it. It’s fictional stuff, and not great at that cause the lore sucks. So better to just look at it as what it is… just another Hero, like Bastion or Soldier or Junk.
I’m just glad that people stopped complaining about Junkrat and Mercy.
brig, doomfist mistake, hanzo’s E is a mistake, Moira’s damage bubble and long range lock on is a mistake, sombra’s invisible unlimited and beacon thing mistake everything in this game has become a mistake everything is unbalanced and broken as hell there is no enjoyment in it for people no more.

I consider a counter to be one hero stopping another from executing what they are supposed to do. Reaper counters Winston because he stops the Winston from diving onto your team. The Winston can no longer do his job.
Brigitte’s job is to stop flankers, help create space for the team, as well as heal. Junkrat in no way stops her from doing any of those. She stays directly behind her Rein until close enough to the enemy Rein, then stuns him and knocks him back, exposing the entire enemy team. Easy space created for your team. How does Junkrat prevent that? He can’t. I understand not both teams always have a Rein but that is just an example.
Whenever I play Brig, I do not feel a junkrat will consistently stop me from doing my job, ever. I do not consider that a counter.
Bastion can shut down nearly every hero, including Brig, but the best way to deal with bastion is to dive, and stun him as a team. Brig can stun and deal lots of damage to the bastion, therefore Brig is a good counter to the Pirate ship (Bastion on payload) strategy.
Maybe at your rank, but at mine I’ve been able to do it easily. I speak from personal experience.
Junkrat is meant to be area denial. He can make it difficut for her to help push in, which is what she wants to do. He can make it too dangerous for her to approach, knock her away from targets, and has an easier time than most of the cast of just outright killing her.
He also has a fairly easy time of breaking her shield, and due to the nature of the brawly comps, he should charge his rip-tire fairly fast.
He is able to do all of this from the high ground, it can be difficult for Brigitte to pin down and stop an enemy Junkrat.
All of this lowers her effectiveness. One of the problems is that Junkrat (like most of her counters) isn’t in a great state. So he’s much less good at it than he should be. But that’s been true of him for a long time. And she often plays with heroes that Junk would rather not face like Zarya.
He still shouldn’t have issues punishing an out of position Brigitte though. Which is what the person I replied to was asserting, which is why I said it was a him issue not a Brig one.
