Every so often I get often while playing I get black screen. I can hear everything fine and I can move and use abilities but I can not see anything. Only thing I can do is close the game and open it again. This is the only game that does that and it has done it for like the past two week. I’m on a GTX 1060 6G and play in windowed mode though full screen doesn’t fix it either.
I have this too and have no idea how to get it to work consistently. It’s not just “reload” for me. It may take 10 times to get it to run.

I still have this issue. Nothing except closing out the game and restarting works. This wasn’t a problem with OW1. And its very hard to play consistently when this keeps happening.
Theres loads of issues that could be occuring here, but I’ll list some off the top of my head:
- Update graphics drivers and operating system to resolve any incompatability issues
- Things like xbox game bar overlay, discord overlay and nvidia overlay can cause rendering issues
- Game files could be compromised, a fix could be using the “Scan and Repair” by clicking the cog next to the play button to resolve any file issues."
- Close other programs to free up resources like video memory and RAM.
- I noticed you said you were running in windowed mode but fullscreen doesnt help, make sure you’re not running in borderless windowed mode.
- Ensure the refresh rate (indicated by a star* and a value next to your resolution) matches the refresh rate of your monitor to see if its an issue with your monitor not responding to refresh rate changes.
If none help, it would be best to submit a ticket with Blizzard technical support as you will most likely get an answer soon and easily.
