I have had some problems recently with starting up the game. I have never had these problems before, but i had a long brake and the update was i had to download was huge.
The problem is that whenever i start the game the launcher says “playing now” as it should do, a few seconds goes by and the game starts, but with a black screen and then nothing happens.
When i then tap out it says that overwatch has run into a problem and has to close.
I have seen similar problems in the forums but nothing that you have told them to do seems to work.
I would much appreciate some help as me and my friends are getting back into the game

This sounds like the Razer Chroma SDK issue. If you have Razer Synapse on your system, try updating to Razer Synapse 3 - Cloud-Based Hardware Configuration Tool | Razer United States . This should update the Razer Chroma SDK and prevent the crashes on launch.
Anti-virus programs like pizzatime stated is also a possibility.
If this does not resolve the issue, please collect a DXDIAG and post it here.

I’m having the same problem, but sometimes I can get in game. Othertimes it just freezes at the black screen. None of these fixes worked, and after I have to force close OW on task manager because its stuck on black screen it continues to show “now running” on the launcher, and the only way is to reboot.
im not gonna reboot everytime I want to play, ill just play a different game.

I’m unable to find any Overwatch licenses on this account, and there’s no free game trial available at the moment. Your PC looks capable of running the game, though a graphics driver update wouldn’t hurt.
It looks like you have another account with Overwatch on it, however. Other than the driver update, can you double check to make sure you’re logged into the correct email? It should have a different battletag than this one.
i’m having the same issue how can it be repaired???
I didn’t really change anything im afraid.
It might just be a computer problem cause this one is old as hell and i am trying to get the reinstalment disk for it though it is taking longer than expected.
I changed to my other account which you might be right is the one that has overwatch, i honestly don’t remember the battletag i used it’s been a while

There’s not really anything else major going on in this DXDiag. Your BIOS is a little old so you might update that as well since you have a pretty recent CPU. If neither helps, can you create an MSInfo, and email it to me with this information?
