Big problem : voice chat playing on monitor speakers

Hello blizzard i have a problem : the game effects and sounds are played on my headset but my voice chat ( group chat plays on my monitor )
Is it windows or the game ?

You may wish to check both to track this down:

  1. Goto your Documents folder -> Delete the Overwatch folder at this location to clear your settings back to default.

  2. Left click on your desktop speaker icon -> switch to your speaker and then back to your headset.

Retest the game. If the issue continues while in game go to Options -> Sound ->

  • Voice Chat Devices -> Default Devices
  • Playback Device -> Your headset or Default.

Retest.

If you do not know where your Documents folder is, you can also clear your settings following the steps Here which maybe safer for you.

Yes you can! The Overwatch file only has cache files.
