Her damage beam is not even a beam, but 2 intersecting polygons. You can see it for yourself if damage boost somebody and look the opposite way …it will look like this + (plus sign)
Her healing beam is just ugly. Its too bright and 2 strings are far way from each other with empty space in between. Its not a beam its spaghetti
I understand that it was done for OWL so people could see better since both beams are the same colour.
However I remeber clearly that when beams got changed on PTR and pros were playing with “updated” version, we still had old beams on live servers.
So why not make current beams only for OWL and give us old version or better new one
Agreed 100% new beams are ugly af, specially those spaghetti, god I hate it.
Am I the only one who wants to change beam colors? At least for myself. Totally a non-issue, and I’d keep it the same color for everyone else, but ever since watching the OWL I have the burning desire to change my beam color to white.
yeah, with new pink Mecry skin I would like to change her beams to pink and purple
I was thinking pink and white but yeah! Also being honest, the colors they chose were always confusing to me haha. Why yellow and blue?
Changing the way the beams look in the main game and not just in OWL is one of the dumbest ideas Blizzard ever had. It was completely unnecessary.
Consistency. Blue is for damage boost (Orisa, Ana’s Ult shot, Mercy Damage) and yellow stands for healing (Mercy heal, Moira spray, Zen orb). Personally, I think they should let us change the colors as a personal setting, if that would be possible.
There’s was no other damage boost when it was introduced into the game. I was just wondering how they chose them, since the color decisions are largely arbitrary.
This is my 4th attempt to get this topic noticed …Hopefully Blizzard see this and make changes to Mercy beams .Its not like anyone benefits from poor visuals effects
I agree I liked the beams before the reworked beams they looked nicer and sharper. It looked better when the two strings of Yellow healing beam were connected.
