What’s the deal? I don’t claim to understand the inner workings of the soft-reset vs hard-reset vs no reset debate…but all i know is matchmaking is brutal in both quickplay and competitive.
There are consistently players in matches that just clearly dont belong in the same skill/game knowledge tier as the rest of the group, whether on my team or the enemies. Most games are stomps because these players just aren’t on the same level. While playing moira with a hog and mercy, i had the mercy suggest that she would just heal hog and i should focus healing the pharah and cassidy. Used her damage beam maybe 5% of the time. I wish i was making it up, nice enough player…just clearly lacking experience.
I understand this was bound to happen to a certain extent, that its part of the process, and should even out eventually. Fine, but can someone enlighten me on around how long thats going to take?
there will never be they will be lucky if the game makes it to the end of the year as its so massively broken jsut scrap the game and consider it a major failure

OW1 was years old and it was still matchmaking garbage, possible the worst matchmaking ever made… and you expect them to fix it in OW2 with same devs…lolol
It genuinely got worse
I got a plat tank for example a few days ago while the enemy tank was Masters 1
I just don’t know why they’re so averse to a hard reset. This was a totally new game we had to purchase additionally. Why was it necessary for our junk data all the way back from the original beta carry over?
It definitely feels worse than OW1 matchmaking atm. To be expected for a new game I suppose but I just hope there’s an end in sight.
I do wonder if part of it is we are just better able to identify the issue now that we have the scoreboard data. I’m sure there were plenty of games in OW1 where a teammate was severely under performing and we just didn’t know the extent without the numbers.
You are expecting to much from incompetent devs.
