Just looking for recommendations. Right now I play on 1400 DPI and 3 in-game (4200 eDPI). I’ve tried much higher and much lower and really haven’t honed in on what’s “right”. Thanks!
Imo the perfect sensitivity is if you can do a 360 with a full mouse swipe
i have 5 sens 800 dpi = 4000 eDPI
used to have 6 sens but it felt too fast, 5 is perfect
I used 800DPI and 3.5 sens (2800 edpi). Anything faster feels really bad to me.
Your mileage will vary. It generally comes down a lot to a combination of practice and preference. You can be effective at a fairly large range as long as you put in the time.
^^I use something close to this also. 3.51 sens @ 800 dpi
Use what feels good for you.
Full range of turn motion (I prefer a little over 180, as opposed to full 360, just my habit)
Make sure you are not moving too fast or too slow to track targets.
I must be doing something wrong…
Most characters I have 800DPI and 10-12 sensitivity
Guess I need to try dropping the sensitivity, but I always feel the movement is way too slow
It may be right for you where it is currently.
I aim with my arm and have like 14-15 inches to move my mouse.
If you are wrist aiming it should be higher.
Whatever works for you and whatever characters you play. You may want a lower sense for precise requirement characters, while having a higher sense for close-range characters where you gotta spin those crosshairs fast.
There is no perfect, do what feels comfortable. You really need a higher sensitivity if you have a smaller mousepad.
I’ve got 800 DPI, 15 sens = 12,000 eDPI.
It depends both on personal preference and the size of your mouse pad. My “eDPI” would be 20,000, which feels about right for the small amount of space I have dedicated to moving my mouse.
I play at 1200DPI and 5.75 in-game. I think it’s a little bit too low for me. I don’t understand how people can play FPS games with insanely low sensitivity.
I do mostly use wrist… arm for gross movement, wrist for adjusting is how I generally play…
I have a large mousepad so I may try using arm movements at some point
If you do try to switch give it TIME. your accuracy will drop before it gets better. It is not an overnight thing. But it will feel more natural over time.
I made the switch years ago in another shooter so now it feels natural to do it.
I do use wrist and fingers for fine tuning mid to long range.
But tracking is almost always arm.
Flicking is arm also but smaller movements, where it could be wrist also. (sorry if that is confusing.)
400dpi / 4.33 in-game here. You do it by getting used to it.
I use a regular small mousepad (steelseries qck mini i think?), and with less than 6000 edpi I have more than enough room for precise and quick 180 turns (to turn facing at your back) … I don’t understand the need to do a full 360 in a match neither the need for such large cloth pads unless you have a really really low sens ofc
360 means to do a full circle and end facing in the same direction u were looking initially right … For that i simply do 2 180’s lifting the mouse in between… I tell all of this coz im not sure im missing something (srry for rushed writting, using my Phone
I played with 1200/1.5 for months, and I was terrible. I bring it up and I’m instantly better. I dunno.
Use what I use.
27sens, 3600dpi
Dude… Is blizzard keeping you in a basement and forcing you to singlehandedly keep the forums active? If you need help post a picture of a turnip and i will come and get you out of there.
That’s disgusting.
Whichever eDPI makes it so that you don’t need to think about it to quickly snap to where you want to aim.
For a lot of people that’s low edpi, for me it’s high.
You are a total madlad. I cannot even comprehend how one can control that without serious wrist injury due to the precision needed. I use 800 dpi and 5 sens myself.
