Not Torb. Sombra can hack his turret from stealth without being interrupted.

Any character who can chase her down and punish when she goes to teleport out.

Genji, Echo, Pharah maybe. Tracer potentially.

D.Va, Winston, Doomfist.

How has no one mentioned Brig yet? Bodyguard whomever Som keeps diving. She’ll hate you for it :upside_down_face:

Moira too - just being able to fade out of Virus is a big one. Kiriko can self-cleanse with her teleport, I think?

Call out when sombra uncloaks, health through her and she’s useless.

This is mostly advice against bad and mediocre sombra players, your tips never work against experienced, masters and up level players. Basically giving tips for bronze players to never try out sombra.

brig is good, u just randomly swing your mace and smash her face.
Sombra is backdoor enjoyer, so there is no need for DD or tank care about swapping vs her.

Sombra main here, Hanzo, and to some degree Torb if you can set it up that they have to choose between you and the turret.

If they decide to fight you, your right clicks close up are pretty dangerous, and the turret will help you.

If they go for the turret then you can boost yourself and wreck them.

Hanzo however is the best counter.

The only issue is if the sombra player decides to creep stalk you whole game, you can still win but you would need to stop caring about team fight and focus her esp if your team doesnt help you.

This way she can make a game 4v4 with zero effort, and it will hurt your chances if you were the main carry of your team.

A bad player can significantly get more value by swapping to sombra and stalking someone valuable in enemy team.

They will still probably lose, but in one press of H they will manage to suck all the fun and soul of the game happening.

Kiriko. It’s a chore but you gotta constantly watch your backline, then suzu the hack/virus!

Tracer and Kiriko are her best counters. But Cree can work, and anything high sustain can too.

On tank:

  • D.Va (can spy check and eat her virus)
  • Zarya (can cleanse her hack on herself/others)
  • Roadhog (can just sustain yourself through whatever she can do)

On DPS:

  • Hanzo (headshot her = instakill and can reveal where she is)
  • Cass (can Hinder her and kill her before she escapes)
  • Tracer (can chase her down to kill her)
  • Torb (turret can reveal her, if not you can spy check. If she tries to 1v1, you most likely win)
  • Soldier (you can outdamage her)

On Support:

  • Kiriko (cleanse her hacks/damage, and headshot her with kunai)
  • Moira (can avoid most of what Sombra does to you, and can pressure her enough to back off/kill her)
  • Brig (can peel for your other support and deny Sombra any value)
  • Illari (this one’s a hit-or-miss, but if you can land your shots, you can outdamage Sombra)
