We’re in comp chat. Let’s talk about something both positive and competetive for once.
What have you all found/think are the best strategies and comps for the new Busan map? Possibly specific to each individual Shrine/Station/Base point.

Best strategy? Figuring out where the heck the cap point is.
Rien and Zarys on the drum map.
Winston and Dva on the other 2.
Pick Widow and kill everybody with impunity.
On station widowseems to be insane
Widow is really good on the train station section and gets free picks for days. Symmetra is really good on the other two sections.
I have trouble believing sym does anything on the base map. That’s the extremely open duel level one where you basically need to put your entire team outside one contester on one of the outside high grounds.
Free sight lines across like 70% of the map when she is on one of those buildings
Ya this map is BS, getting killed by widows as I’m stepping out of spawn. Needs a rework, shorter sightlines.
playing objective on train station is subpar idea, but having symmetra plant turrets under the balconies on their side has value. Snipers on station… personally haven’t found good angles yet, since the longshot you can land are contrasted by the low path straight to point, where as snipers you don’t see jack.
Orisa going low path with only one hoof on the point with some dd behind does wonders there.
On memorial map widow has a lot of narrow, but sightlines, actually that map is awesome for fast flankers, and even phara can fast and easily get to their backs behind all covers for nasty strikes.
On base, again, playing the objective seems to be a wrong idea, because it’s a good bowl for spam projectile damage. Though, another strategy i can think of is going long way to the top, then jumping with melee brawlers down the shaft and beating whatever has setup on point.
The sight lines for widow on station are those two building roofs between each team’s spawn and the Base, the mega inside the room on the other side, and going to high ground behind the enemy. Orissa barely touching point could be good. But that path is so slow that they will always be pushing into a high ground setup if the opponents dont mirror.
I also feel like having a single “contester” is a good idea on all these maps. Taking high ground on base and station and taking angles all around the outside of shrine while your Mei/dva/Hammond contests or pokes the point at their leasure seems like the way to go.
But what about Lucio booping people into trains?
So I had a match on busan where the enemy was running bastion, and their bastion liked to go to the spot in city center where I found a way to negate them. It’s a spot to the back of the point on their side of the map where they come out from their spawn and it splits into 3 small alleys with a glass wall dividing them. The bastion went into the middle and I went on the other side of the glass. He couldn’t shoot me through the glass but he couldn’t ignore me either, so he was looking at me and watching as I murder his team from a distance. The moment he stopped watching me was the moment I went around the wall and hit him from behind.
It’s no better than having a Lucio to boop people off the cliff in Hanamora first. People don’t natural get near the train often unless they are going for the mini.
