BEST 2/2/2 SYSTEM for DPS main

I am a dps main
the system is simple :slight_smile:one game of two you have to play healer or tank for having a normal queue time
but you are free if you want to play dps every time you will have a longer queue time

If every dps player play 50% of their game healer or tank they will have a normal queue time
the beauty of this system is you are still free to otp genji but you will have a longer queue time which is totally fair since you never want to tank or heals

but even if you play dps only thanks to other flexing dps main your queue time will be greatly reduced
everyone wins

i suggested it already but not on a forced basis but voluntary…

people who play all roles get xx% faster q-times…

the problem is tho people who then just q for tank and throw the game by not caring to win… so it ends fast and they get their queue%% and just play dps.

also if you leave this out… many dps players would queue for support and play zen or ana … then the support players might suffer on some elos as well.
for example diamond on EU is full with support players… many times i have to play tank because we have enough supports… its just really tank that seems lack of interest…

First zen or ana are fine
second:
the problem for me isnt that we dont have healer or tanks
but unbalanced match in ranked
for me we need 2/2/2 for separated SR for each role not because of the lack of tanks or healer
in this regards forced 222 is mandatory
like myself I am 2500SR dps main
2200 support and probably 1900SR tank
the actual SR system ignore that fact

But with role specific SR they would simply place at the rank their supporting belongs, no problem there.

It’s bad now because people flex but have no business playing certain role at their main level.

Exactly! but in the actual system a dps main who plays tanks or heal will probably punish his team for not playing his best role

the problem is just that it will increase queue times for supports if you leave them the choice to play either support or tank. it does not solve the issue with the lack of tank players.

i see more dps mains playing zen or ana when needed but tank not so often. especially not main tank.

I agree with you tanks are probably the least role played
I think if we push dps to play heal and tanks
and support player to play tanks some times
we will have the right proportion for a 2/2/2

The worst part is this is the only feasible way to implement a forced 222. What a dark future we have to look forward to.

How? If they have role specific SR, they can pick their worst role and be properly placed. No one is punished.

when I say "punish " I mean loosing and having a lower SR

also what s my proper SR when i am 1900SR tank, 2300support and 2500dps?
the role of matchmaking is creating the most balanced match possible
but we can agree it s a failure because the matchmaking ignore the fact that we have different skill depending of our role from bronze to grand master

well yes … its the right step imo.

but its certainly not perfect… but it has more positive things than downs.

besides that i think the devs should rework all the rewards completely… they need to give specific rewards for playing all roles … like extra skins and sprays.
flex players should be more rewarded.

And so did I. Who is being punished when they are playing, their worst role, at the SR their worse role belongs?

With role specific SR, those three are all your proper SR.

who? all the player since the match will not feel balanced

if you loosing playing support and then dominating playing dps at lower SR

how can you not understand that?

If everyone did that voluntarily, DPS queue times would go down, SO why not do it anyways?

They’ll have separate SRs

It will be balanced with role specific SR and role lock.

Master DPS but Gold Main tank? Play main tank in Gold, play DPS in Master. You cannot switch mid game from one to another, that’s the point of role queue with role specifc SR and roel lock. How can you not understand that?

Sorry I didnt understood your point of view but now I understand and we both agree separated SR is a good thing

I deserve a lower SR for my tanks :stuck_out_tongue: I am totally fine with this idea lol

Not really. This is what I anticipate will happen. Role queue struts up, looking fine, I give it the Whole Hog… But, wait, now I have responsibilities as I climb to a high rank and my only credential is “bacon.” My team asks me why I queued as a tank when all I could play is piggly wiggly. I just awardly oink and get that booty banned.

Conversely, say I anticipate this and pick Rein and Zarya, my worst tanks, I am sentenced to life in bronze… But there is a catch. A plea bargain. If I go Hog, I get out of jail free. “When pigs fly” my fellow bronze inmates joke as I sprout my wings and climb back to diamond. Rofl.

Cringe story about pork aside, SR will never be accurate without character lock SR and needless to say, we ain’t getting that and nobody even wants that.

In other words, nothing will be solved. I guess that was my point. I could manipulate the system positively or negatively based solely on the fact that Hog is not really a tank.

Same with Zen, but he is not thicc enough to get my attention.

I agree with you separated SR for each heroes will be perfect but it s an utopia and the matchmaking doesnt need to be perfect but just better than this crap

BUT separated SR for each role is still a huge step in the right direction for more balanced match for sure it s not perfect like your example of hog but it s much better

Cool story but I failed to see the point. You can manipulate the system right now, role lock, queue and SR makes it less a problem, because Hog still a tank and Zen still a support. Climb as you wish with them, that’s the system working.

It’s not a magic bullet, bickering about what specific heroes people pick will keep on, but it is better than what we got right now.
