Battlepass skins aren't in the battlepass theme?

Why aren’t we getting the rodhog/ rainheardt/ widow etc…
instead, we’re getting orphan tracer and rainbow echo

They realized that 0 people would spend money on the garbage Ana and Tracer skins so they put them in the battlepass instead of the shop

It is looking like they gave up while designing their skins… I don’t get it, there are not enough artists in the world that would be patented about designing skins to overwatch?

Battlepasses are intended for people who doesn’t have money. That is why.

I like that they’re not shoving everything season themed into the Battlepass.

The problem is (not for me, I love everything they came up with for skins for the past countless years) that people that may not enjoy a certain theme the season is going with and the Battlepass exclusively had themed cosmetics, there’d be nothing there for them.

As to mixing it up with some unthemed cosmetics which may spark interest for those people, the BP would be something worth for them since the BP’s still less expensive than a singular skin.

Because they want $$$

The trash skins go into the BP, while the ones with sale potential go into pricey store bundles.

It’s the season theme. The bpass is only part of it. With a few of the skins being on theme.

UK’s economy is not in great shape, it’d be a bit senseless of them to put the pov cockney skin as a stand-alone purchase.

Battlepass is the season (ie season 1 battlepass, season 2 battle pass, etc), they are synonymous. You can’t have the battlebass without the season, nor the season without the battlepass.

I agree. It would make more sense to have everything in the battlepass be on theme, and if they wanted something off theme, they could dump that in the shop.

It kind of takes away the feeling of progression and excitement in finishing each step in the battlepass when something isn’t on theme. Why even have a theme at all? It makes the off-theme stuff feel like trash. Even if they’re good, they’re out of place. With no theme or lore behind it… it’s just filler.
