Why did they have to make an entire new app for this? There should be a message in game on the Home Screen about it as well, but there isn’t.
Imagine still using launchers when the game can launch directly from Steam.

A lot of people don’t use steam for OW - I’ve never bothered making the switch. Just keep on using it the way I have been for years.

We got an email. It’s being retired on the 5th of January.
afaik you still new a Battlenet account even if you use steam. and there are multiple games not on steam yet.
Maybe is time to do that then.
Also now that Microsoft is in charge, they will probably get rid of it at some point.
It has no use other than gatekeeping games for exclusivity (which is no longer going to be the case)
You do but you have to do it only once and after that steam logs you automatically.

It’s not the epic store my guy, it’s just the Blizzard launcher we’ve all been using for years if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.
You have been using it for years because Blizzard made it sure it is the only way to run their games. xD
It is not any better than any other 1st party launcher made just to keep you in their own ecosystem.
i have the feeling, that you have to relog sometimes. Thats at least my experience with other games with Accounts from Ubisoft or EA.
It skips the launcher entirely unlike EA where you login to their launcher as well which kills the whole point. At least Blizzard did the Steam integration properly.
You can even start OW directly without any launcher (if using non steam client) but you will have to type your login every time if decide to do that.
Well, if they do that, I’ll switch. Until then, I see no reason to do so

With Steam I can’t crouch and check the scoreboard because of the Shift Tab thing. I use Shift to crouch on Tracer and Bap.
Imagine using a bnet launcher instead of using a steam launcher? Did I read that correctly? lol
