Hmm, well if they run out of idea’s maybe they could try adding PvE.
Oh for sure, nobody would disagree with that, but we as players can’t barter or haggle with Blizzard over their prices. They stated that is the value of their cosmetics and we can take it or leave it.
Ultimately, even if all you care about are skins and say you value them at $2 for Legendaries, and $1 for Epics instead of $20 and $10 respectively, that’s still a good deal since you get a $13 value plus a mythic skin for just $10.
They do know what to do. it’s the same thing that kept people coming back for events and challenges in OW1. Except they can’t do that anymore because all they want is money. They can’t make money if they’re just giving us skins.
All they offer is skins at $20 a pop so I spend my time elsewhere. I have no issue spending money in a game I like. And I love OW. But I can’t support this and I’m not being dramatic.
yeah, but sprays and souvenirs are so easy and cheap to make. so expect them to double up on those before they even consider paying chinese sweatshops to make more skins for us. maybe, just maybe, they’ll add some extra weapon charms next season. if we’re all extra special good.
No. Keep that thing empty. Spend zero time on the battle pass. I don’t care about it. They can put 500 legendary skins in it, I won’t care.
Make the game better instead.
If their tooling is good enough (which is usually the case) then they don’t really need programmers. QA requirements are also minimal because artists are good at spotting problems. This is why it’s so easy to upscale (and outsource) skin production compared to meaningful content like actual gameplay.
I don’t even sprays bound to a button anymore, that’s how little they matter
I don’t really care about voicelines or emotes or sprays
I actively detest souvenirs. Just worse emotes.
Highlights for a support main is just a complete waste of development time and my money. It’s not like I don’t get POTG but it’s neither the point of my role nor as often as some dps who simply got an Ult charged all the way.
So that just leaves Weapon Charms (I guess) and Skins.
But the real MVP of the BP has turned out to be name cards. I really like those. But I’m an artist so I like having nice bits of art to look at.
And now with PVE gone there is no reason for me to want to collect any skin that isn’t for a support. Why would a support main want or need a tank or Dps skin?
Why would I want a rank mythic skin?
Would have been fine in PVE where I played every hero for fun. But now? Nah.
They have no idea how much they shot he selves in the foot. And I am not alone. In spite of what some people choose to believe.
Tbh battlepass is pretty much the same as lootboxes, 95% of trash but on BP there is no randomness, so you know 1-2 months earlier when to be disappointed for your rewards.
It’s filled with the same stuff that was in loot boxes and that’s available in the store.
If it’s useless now, it was useless then too.
This is straight up that astronaut meme.
I personally think all the filler content is for players to buy more tiers and increase engagement. I bet they wouldn’t mind adding empty tiers in the battle pass if they knew they wouldn’t get any backlash.
Souvenirs are the single most worthless items in the game. I haven’t seen a single person used them yet.
I have, and I’m amazed every time that someone would even bother slotting them.
What they had in Ow1 was perfect, things people used, but Blizz needed filler for the battlepass so they added all the extra junk we see (but not see used in game) today.
