Meh, i wanted to post a pic.

It is not rapid-fire, the projectiles speed is X2.
However, the gun itself fires at the same speed rate, 6 shots per second.

Like the OP said she’s not a bad DPS, not a great one but not a bad one either if your accurate enough. Her greatest flaw is lack of impact on the game. But honestly Symetra has that problem too with her shield Ult.

The main issue with battle Mercy, unless your in a six stack that knows what your doing is people expect Mercy to heal. If you pick mercy it’s highly unlikely some one else is going to pick a third healer. Battle Mercy in a Triple support group wouldn’t be the worst choice.

I mean decent dmg and you still have Rez available. The main problem lies in just how clunky the switch from Mercy’s staff to her gun is. It’s a pretty long delay if you ever find yourself in a situation where you needed to heal.

If Blizzard ever could fix that mechanic I think Mercy could pull out her pistol more often. Sadly with the split second timing you often need for healing, and the almost full second of delay in weapon switching it kind of makes Mercy either a pacifist or a killer with little in between.

Wait, am I to understand that you hold that
Mercys bulletspeed increases under her ultimate?
I have not observed this in my play, so I wonder if you have confirmation, or factual data to support this?

I wouldn’t really waste my time recording this, but if you really want the answer, try shooting 1 ammo at a bot from practice range, and 1 while ultimate, you will see the difference.

As a longtime Mercymain, I have a hot-tip for that issue that MIGHT solve your problem;
as default, Mercy’s weapon changes on mousewheel roll.

I have disabled this, as I like to use my middle mousebutton for alternate melee button, and find that having weapon-switch on keyboard (1,2, and prev weapon/next weapon as 3/4), which seems to make my weapon switching a little swifter and more reliable than a more analogue interface like the mousewheel scroll.

Perhaps this is something you’ll try, and remember, just because you’re Mercy, if Reinheart is on one pixel of health and hiding behind his shield from you, a Melee attack will go through that shield and kill him :slight_smile: even if you’re Mercy :slight_smile: :slight_smile:

Man I’m getting more flak playing battle mercy then widowmaker… people are so friggin toxic and self serving

The developers want you to play battle Mercy, the pistol and damage beam are just about the only things left that have not been gutted. Her healing just doesn’t cut it anymore and it seems the rare times that you get a play of the game or on fire these days is when you punish out of position DPS.

Every game im playing so far ppl are being wicked hostile towards battle mercy. I bet i have uber amounts of Reports.

I even wait for everyone else to choose their hero, if no one takes mercy I do and I tell them im playing Battle Mercy.

Cant catch a break
