Bastion too tanky for the amount of damage?

Tbh I don’t think the problem is with Bastion, the healing in this game is insane

When Bastion goes into tank mode he should be somewhat vulnerable as a trade off for massive dmg, but if he is being pocketed he is a railgun that isn’t scared of dying… It is quite boring to play against I agree but I don’t think Bastion is the guilty party

His giant hitbox and 10 second play pattern that is easily played around is why he has the much health and armor. It’s very difficult to actually miss Bastion.

This is one of the very rare times bastion is able to shine. I don’t want Bastion to be permanently nerfed into obscurity.

Has bastion ever been meta before?

Bulk isn’t his problem, his problem is that for some reason he was buffed 20 times in one patch lol

No they need to nerf his a**!

My guy, we’re kind of in a bastion meta rn.

His passive makes him real tanky especially with the armor on top of that passive and the healing. I agree I had a team go reaper/bastion and that was a horrible experience as a tank. Can’t do much about it either and that’s the bad part. Just run and let them cap point! Especially if your dps are struggling to land shots or are breaking down a rein shield.

I think his crit spot should do more damage for some counterplay. The strength and defences are warranted for his lack of mobility. But it can feel horrible to play against at times, so adding more crit damage I think would be nice. Or reducing his armor so that he can’t double dip with his passive for so long.

I am sure tank players are having a lot of fun vs the mercy pocketed bastion that appears every other game, even in QP

The Panic Bastion has been a strategy since early OW1

It would almost be flattering if it wasn’t so annoying to suddenly have 30k bullets flying at your face

I’m not saying it wasn’t a strategy in OW1.

I’m saying it wasn’t to this degree.

Bastion has had brief stints with a strategy called Pirate Ship in late OW1. This was mostly for payload maps on offense and wasn’t really the best for ladder but did see some pro play as far as I’m aware.

And that is basically the extent of Bastion being meta prior to bastion’s current state.

For most of the complaints, it’s probably not an issue of people “still” having problems so much as it is them having new problems against this new hero, who’s only existed for a year and is now fairly meta. I have no issues with it personally though. He’s not an issue in my matches and I like Bastion.

The best ways to deal with bastion atm. Pick orisa or zarya and make sure your teammates don’t do low iq stuff. Add in an ana if the bastion is pocketed and you’ve pretty much blocked off his ability to get good value.

I watch ML7 alot. Top 10 support. He’s also sick of bastion rn lmao

Because he cannot be tank countered due to 1 tank. Play DVA, Sigma, or Hog into him, get run over by Orisa/Zarya.

Not sure what you don’t get here. Are you being obtuse on purpose?

And also has half of Bastion’s size, a dedicated dodge button and moves at normal speed. Bastion is slower by 30% in turret form, has a hitbox larger than almost half of the tank cast and his only form of mobility deals self damage putting him in even more danger.

Yes. He’s absolutely huge and his damage output is lukewarm at best outside of a 10 second cooldown.

He is the 3rd top picked damage hero in GM, he is hard meta right now, having gone from 2nd least picked to above Tracer, Cassidy and Sojourn, trying to invoke rank is like wearing a button saying “I don’t know how metas work across ranks I will never see without the aid of streaming”.
