They should just swap his turret/tank modes.
Make his normal dps mode tank, giving him mobility, large aoe attacks with splash dmg, it would hopefully allow him to be useful in more situations and should stop the nightmare that is the ‘pirate ship’ comp.
Then his ult is an improved sentry mode with a narrower spread and increased rate of fire. Giving him a potentially deadly ultimate that can have an actual impact on the enemy team.
I don’t have the time to sit around reading megathread after megathread. I’m talking in a very general sense. You cannot give a hero buffs without giving them nerfs to compensate, this is how we ended up with current Hanzo. From what I’ve seen, it’s only buff suggestions without nerfs to go along with them.
You do realised bastion was nerfed, so now its a high time to buff him.
Plus you dont have any idea about bastion from what i read if you want to go with nerfs before buffs.

If only the game had real flanking routes instead of converging 90% of their level design into single chokepoints.
And Hanzo was a troll pick before his rework, now he’s in every game and not running him puts your team at a distinct disadvantage.

(that same person was suggesting we nerf Bastion even harder, Until we talked about it for a while. i even ended up changing their mind about the entire situation, because they were open to the possibilities of it, without just assuming Bastion=strong, Strong=do not like.)

His whole point is having sentry as a non ult.
I think the main reason are so adamantly against buffing (or at least the like 2 people in this thread) are because they’re getting PTSD flashbacks to cheese comps.
Keep in mind originally Bastion was F-tier, but he was a pub-stomper. When I first started playing Bastion was the hero that terrfied me (I’ma Reinhardt main so my #1 rule was “Never charge a bastion”).
Bastion always has a “Protect the President” defense around him, and people don’t like fighting that because it requires you to work together (which is harder than it seems). It also doesn’t even really take much effort because of the natural synergy that Bastion has with Shields. Even if you gave him the Beta shield back it would just make it worse because then they would Shield stack.
Bastion does need buffs (as I think he has the lowest pickrate or is at least competing with Sombra for it), but it’s hard to think how I would. Probably just give headshots back at least, even if he had to keep the spread.
