Honestly I feel like Bastion should be completely removed from Comp or just the game in general or atleast have a major major nerf. Like removing his minigun in whole. Bastion ruins the game and my gameplay. I can only rank low gold and my friends only rank mid silvers because of Bastion and we know it is because we are way better than gold and silver. But we keep getting lower ranks because of Bastion and it’s so annoying. This isn’t just me ranting because I got killed by a Bastion, Bastion litterally ruins the game. The second a team is losing in comp they bring out a Bastion and it ruins the whole match.

I can’t believe I’m about to say this, but…
you just have to git gud. I say this with all sincerity because, damn, I’ve been there too, but I’ve immensely improved and so bastion isn’t a problem for me anymore. In fact, when I see a Bastion on the other team, I know they switched because they’re simply afraid of me and that makes me destroy the enemy even easier because I read their movements–because I can smell their fear in the way they play ;0)
If you know how to take out a bastion in your game, whether you’re a tank, support, or dps (dps really ought to), then that means you’re positioning right, timing your cooldowns, and are mindful/aware of what’s going on around you so as to give yourself the advantage to take the bastion out. This is actually applicable throughout the ENTIRE match and against everyone in every situation.
try keeping those 3 things in mind when you’re up against a bastion again. glhf~

If you where better than than your rank you would obliterate Bastions. But no, you cant kill a target that is stationary and has a big hitbox. But ofc youre better than silver and gold…
What am I when I have no problems killing bastions in low gold? Diamond?

The frustrating thing is when your team refuses to do anything about him or swap.
Believing JR and doom are the best counters.
But never actually flanking him
If I earth shatter, sleep dart, nano , zarya bubble ect no one despite communication tried to focus him down
It’s expected as a rein to hold a shield permanently and then charge him when given the opportunity.
Despite this never working they seem to think it will
Magical part of overwatch is every role has a hero that can take care of your problems.
Playing tank? Flank on hog or off-angle on sigma.
On dps? You can choose hanzo.
Support? Zen and ana can take care of it.
Be responsible for yourself, don’t worry about who your team is playing.

In 5 weeks or so you won’t have to worry about him. Tanks don’t group up in OW2 and bastion’s turret is on a cooldown.
stop disin bastion he is just another character leave him alone just get good practice does work go into custom practice against very hard bastion A.I. to practice that simple
If hes a problem, you have to counter pick him. Being flexible with heroes has always been extremely important in ow. He’s a skill check just like pharah or widow.
Hes weak to characters like roadhog, reaper, hanzo, widow, or anna
worst thiing is fixing bastion would be sooo EZ…they just dont wanna do it for some reason. Lower damage, lower clip size, increase reload time…done.
I agree with this and im stuck on S5. Yeah bastion can hurt when he uses his minigun but I feel like hes too slow and hes easy to take out when you get up in his face. Unless his team is purposely protecting him, hes not really a major threat. But like i said, im in S5 so we’re probably all gumboots who dont know what we’re doing hahaha. But I’d rather an enemy bastion than an enemy reaper giving me jump scares every 30 seconds.
