The only question is, what type of buffs?
Iām still leaning towards bursts of better protection, not a constant persistently higher level of survivability but something to let his defences peak for when his enemies exploit their positioning advantage over him for sudden overwhelming burst attacks.
A new ability would be great, or QoL changes. He just needs some way to deal with all the high damage.
There is no possible arguments against QoL changes for Bastion, I think thatās such a given I almost forget about it as to me itās so uncontroversial. But thanks for reminding us, itās so easy to āmiss the woods for the treesā as things like the problems with transformation times in Bastionās ult are crippling his ult to an extraordinary extent.
I think we can look to DVA as a prototype for an E-ability after having an ability on a cooldown on right click for a long time. Itās not a world smashing ability, itās just a little extra in the right place at the right time that can make all the difference.
Now I think the devs had been toying with rockets for DVA since early development because they preserved portions on all her different skins for those rockets to emerge from rocket pods. I think it took them a while to decide it should be auto-firing on a cooldown. Maybe looking back at what Bastion used to have, and bringing it back in a form that limits the power, duration and frequency yet same fundamental form, could be just the nudge in the right direction.

As of April 2019, I still agree with the OP. Every new hero since after initial launch has a key defensive ability, and some have overly powerful offensive abilities too. Itās as if player design since launch has been progressively moving away from anything like Bastion. Heās slow moving, with a slow heal that recharges slowly. Without the help of other heroes, heās usually a target dummy.

more than welcomed to join in, i am hoping that there might be a āTalonā Bastion skin in the works. but being a pessimist im expecting my credits to increase without me buying anything.

A Mcree, Bastion, Ashe and Baptiste skins were leaked through the achievements, so I am certain that Bastion will have a legendary. Btw, I have 9000+ credits, but I will save them if there isnāt any new skins for my heroes, I will just buy Blackwatch Moira.

How is it going to work being able to buy new skins? Like when anniversary comes around will I be able to buy skins they say āunlockable in Anniversary loot boxesā? Is there a way to buy the overgrown skin for Bastion?
