Honestly, if they want to balance him out among the ranks, I think the best thing to do would be a heat mechanicā¦ people that are good will manage the heat well, people that arenāt wonāt, and they wonāt do as good. Give some bonus damage to Recon when at high heat to vent it off so that itās more useful, have his damage in Sentry linked to the heat, have the reverse spread that theyāre planning (but make it good, not sure if this one will be good).
Should he get infinite ammo in sentry to compensate for that?
āBastion is too reliant on his team, so letās take away his self heal so that heāll be less reliant on his team somehowā

Ironclad never made bastion op. I think ironclad shouldnāt be removed tbh
ironclad was there for spread compensation, but now that Ironclad is gone, bastion is so bad
Ironclad isnāt gone. He still has that damage resistance
I think it would be a bit too hard to deal with him if he had the Ironclad he has now with good damageā¦ I think if they keep Ironclad, it should be something kinda like this:
- Ironclad
- Damage resistance removed
- Now allows Bastionās self-repair to over-heal him with 75 armor
- This armor cannot be healed by other healers, only Bastion
- The over-heal is āorangeā armor, similar to Torbās armor packs
- Self-repair
- No longer consumes resources when it cannot heal Bastion
- Startup delay reduced to 0.1 seconds (Currently 0.5 seconds)
- Able to reload while repairing
- Healing resource increased by 25%
- Allows for 375 healing (Currently 300)
I think self repair and ironclad arenāt the issue though. I think we should give the bastion changes a shot when theyāre live because we have said before with Mercy that each nerf was too harsh but she just kept on being meta. So maybe we may have a similar situation with the bastion changes
Oh yeah, I definitely want to try the changes first, this part is just hypothetical. I do think that Ironclad is contributing to his issues though. Repair is goodā¦ it could use a couple tweaks like a shorter ācast timeā, but itās not really an issue. I think if they do these spread tweaks properly (assuming they do actually put them to PTR), it could fix Bastion, but these were more for if he still needs help afterwards.
I think they will go a long way and make pirate ship way stronger.
