But not having Ironclad would, as he would be less pocketable, and a target for ultsā¦ So realistically the healers shouldnāt ride on top of him.

There was never anything anywhere that said or indicated that Bastion needs to be tanky, if youāre referring to the old shield it was probably just there to compensate the fact that he couldnāt turn, what a weird addition.

Oh he has 100 armor on top of 200 health, which halves the damage of many heroes in the game.
Reaper shooting at health: 140 damage per shot
Reaper shooting at armor: 70 damage per shot
Combined with a healer it can give a huge advantage to him, so in that sense he is more tankier than just another character.
And FYI, a tank or being tanky in video games unless talking about literal tanks, the war machines or water containers, is meant as in being able to sustain damage.

But most heroes can Move.
Bastionās biggest issues are Damage output, and living long enough to put it out.
(Yes i realize roadyās a tank, i just donāt like him)
And most heroes donāt have more than 200 DPS beyond 7 meters.
It all boils down to Sustained Damage.
Most heroes can Output a LOT Of damage, given the chanceā¦ And what better to throw that at, than a stationary target.
Oh and donāt be bitter against Roady, itās not his fault Bastion is a steaming pile of s***, if Bastion had that precisely and quickly toggle-able shield he would be able to have a chance against him at close range without tanking all his damage.

We were talking about what Bastion can and canāt do then you just leaped to āWell he takes a lot more damage than most heroesā which is true but itās derailing the conversation into such a hard to discuss matter.
Now back on topic, he is a 450 DPS long ranged shooter, and as a cherry on top he has an extra 100 armor on top of 200 health, which helps. He doesnāt need anything more, he doesnāt need to be tanky. They needed to lower his DPS to increase his survivability and mobility, itās the only thing keeping him from getting too strong, the fact that he canāt sustain damage for long when exposed to snipers ā WHICH RIGHT NOW HE CANāT SUSTAIN AGAINST ANYTHING SINCE EVERYTHING OUT-RANGES HIM, F**K.
That is trueā¦ Which a Sentry āReworkā Would fix.
