Bastion never was about adaptability, the fact that he can get up and move and sit down and do huge DPS whenever he wants is a privilege in his kit, not a right that should be built upon.

I already made pages worth of commenting about how difficult it is to balance a jack of all trades in games, especially how slow these developers are when it comes to doing any tweaks.

So in that sense I don’t feel like going into it again trying to define it.

Not 3 damage options, but a lot of stuff in their kit…

Genji has a wallclimb, a double jump, two ways to use his primary attack, deflect, dash, a dash reset on a kill, a very good ultimate which also resets his dash, and a higher base movement speed than most other heroes

Mercy has rez, a healing beam, a damage boost beam, very high mobility, a pretty good ultimate, and a decent damage pistol

Yeah, I’m fine with disagreeing, and I’m not trying to shove it down your throat, I’m just offering my views on it. I’m kinda scared that they’ll mess it up, they don’t have a very good record. I’m really more hoping that they’ll listen to us when doing a rework (assuming they are going to do one) instead of doing their own thing. It would be a first (kinda… they did add the repair and Recon buffs basically verbatim of what people were asking for), but if they did, I think they could make a really successful rework.

Right, I got the kit part. What I was saying was, any E ability is more stuff in his kit. There’s no difference there. It’s just what form of stuff that is. Those aren’t more damaging abilities.

Literally what I’ve been telling them, but the only response that I got from them was “We need to take our chances and if we don’t have faith in them what’s the point” and that’s a very risky and optimistic view of these devs ability at balancing.

Oh I have to agree with that one but the problem was that they were very quick in nerfing him but then didn’t touch him for the next 500 days, in their eyes it’s a success then? Or are they… You know… Ab*****ing him…
