20% more of 80% doesn’t get you back to 100%, it gets you back to 96%. You need to have +25% damage to return 80% damage to 100%. The same as a discord orb.
Yes, discord orb was recently nerfed from +30% damage vulnerability to +25% damage vulnerability.
This is not reasoning anyone is going to follow, if they’re different enough that
And it’s clearly arbitrary for a gun to stop losing heat just because it’s on his back. You can do some arbitrary things in a player’s favour, but arbitrary downsides are bad game design.
I know you may not want to have your work criticised, but you have to be able to see that.
This is just giving up on Bastion, we’re talking about what Bastion needs to get him out of sub-1% pickrate and you’re saying he should have his greatest strength be sidelined for other heroes?
So your idea of nerfing sustained damage output therefore must be a terrible idea as it’s a nerf, and Bastion isn’t just about dealing 0.45sec long bursts of fire. Because of all those examples where he has to shoot a lot more.
That is very clearly your subjective opinion.
I have given objective reasons why not, relating the objective facts of how spread means wider dispersion of bullets at different ranges and circumstances resulting in - objectively - Bastion having such lower Time-To-Kill than so many opponents he faces.
No, it’s not “extremely” predictable, it’s theoretically predictable.
For starters it’s a high velocity, that alone means it’s far from easy prediction. Secondly it’s not a consistent velocity, further complicating prediction. Also it’s just straight up and down, you can’t just aim at where they were you need to not only track their high variable falling speed but also follow their subtle air-control lateral speed.
People use AD-strafing because for characters with small hitboxes combined with instant momentum cancelling they very rapidly completely move their hitbox out of any given line of sight and back again. That’s not viable with Bastion due to the size of his hitbox, a much faster speed you get with a high jump velocity and the acceleration of gravity would displace his hitbox sufficiently to compensate for size.
You seem to have forgotten that Scatter Arrows was replaced with Storm Arrows about a year ago, so yeah, the overwhelming majority of your experience is without storm arrows but with Scatter Arrows.
If you say you stopped playing around a time when Storm Arrows replaced scatter arrows… and you plead ignorance about Storm Arrows… how is my conclusion so unreasonable?
You say you haven’t played bastion over a time period where Storm Arrows majorly appeared, NOW you say “oh maybe it was 7 months” but you didn’t say that and you don’t seem to appreciate Storm Arrows at all.
Ohh I see the problem was on my part.
I meant “passive” in the sense of “pacific” as in non-violently, not by being ridiculously deadly to always kill any hero before they could kill Bastion. An escape ability would or could be that.
I think you took “passively” as in “without the player taking any active measures”.
