Bastion insane rework idea

As you know, Bastion’s survivability is problem in high ranks. So for the fix that devs had to add self repair again, but then that means that Bastion will be OP in low ranks (like Mauga). Earlier I suggested return self repair but with movement speed penalty (by 25%) while repair is active and with reduced grenade max damage (from 100 to 75) for balancing. Now I have new idea which touches turret mode.

What if repair and turret mode time will use one resorces counter? For example making this stats:
● Max turret mode time with full resources counter is still 6 seconds
● Self repair heals Bastion for 90 HP (without any penalty)
● Total heal with full resources is 350 hp during around 4 seconds
● Time to full recharge resources is 12 seconds
● Can’t use repair or turret if resources lower than 33% (2 seconds for turret form)

That making you thinking: heal myself or use turret? And you can out from turret to saving more resources for further switching. I think that rework gives for Bastion BIG flexibility which it never seen. And I guess this will fix Bastion’s survivability problem in high ranks and remaining it balanced in low ones.
And last point of rework: returning tank configuration (ult) :slight_smile:

I think it’s less about Bastion specifically and more about the increased quality of support ability usage and effective triage. That stuff scales well with damage reduction. Maybe lessen his healing received when in brrt mode?

Bastion need pocket support cause its hitbox so huge, and takes too much damage comparing with other DPS’es. My friend playing in master rank and he told me that he never saw Bastions a long time. Interesting, why? Also saw BastionMain’s streams and I see that he have to work hard to acomplish less on this hero. Cause you need use turret in perfect cases and need to play very careful for don’t die

Make Bastion a Tank. Lol. Literal Tank Role who can turn into… A Tank!

Battle Hardened - Bastion can only take up to 100 Damage at a time, Excluding from Ultimates. After Bastion takes 100 Damage he becomeas Immune to Damage for a Split Second ( 0.25 Seconds ). Allowing him to survive more easily and take bigger hits to role with the punches.
