That’s because he’s got a bigger hitbox than Sigma or Ball Hammond while in Recon, and sitting still gets you dead to Hanzo.
Or gets you a Sigma rock to the face.

Bastion has a 0% pickrate for those that have their profiles set to public and are part of the subset of players that overbuff pulls their data from.
Played a game yesterday (Bronze comp) and there was a bastion on our team … so not 0%

To be clear, one person wouldn’t be statistically relevant or move the needle.
still would not be 0.
I’m sure that one match that I played yesterday (total matches played yesterday = 1) was not the only match with Bastion in it.
Plus anything that talks about stats (like pick rate) cannot be accurate as the data points are not accurate.
You’d need enough to get to .1 of the entire player base.
The higher in rank you go, the less Bastion appears. He’s less common in silver, drops off sharply in gold, and you have to be really good at this game to get any value from him in plat. Any higher and he’s very much a throw pick.
Please rework the dude. Going from OP to joke pick should not be how any character plays.

Only way to make Bastion good without being another cheese hero like Mei or Reaper became is to rework him into a tank. There is absolutely no reason to keep a character like that in the game as he currently is.

Even during Double Shield meta, bastion still had one o f the lowest pickrats

The meta with two shields to hide behind and two shields to break and Bastion, who’s main purpose is shieldbreak at this point… is still trash lmao. Just great
He’s a giant walking target that everyone knows to take out as soon as possible. At least with Mei she can be sneaky and get a few frozen kills without getting countered. People see bastion and immediately shut him out.
He also walks around much louder than Mei.
