It was bad with Orisa shield spam, but now we have double shield comps every second game. Amazing against Widow, right? Wrong. Widow still has her hookshot, so she benefits from double barrier meta.
Honestly when Rein was one and only Barrier tank game was in a much better spot.

Once Sigma’s novelty wears off, barrier watch will taper off.
Everyone was afraid of it when Orisa released but Orisa and Rein have no synergy just like Orisa and Sigma don’t.
It’s only happening now because Sigma is shiny and new and Orisa is so broken you’re better off running Sigma and Orisa than Sigma and any off-tank or Sigma/Ball.
What would you rather happen? More DPS-focused metas? We had that recently, but everyone complained about “selfish” DPS insta lockers flooding games so now we have forced 2/2/2.
Mandatory no more than 1 barrier tank? What about Winston? His role as a main tank is dubious.
Variety is good. Perhaps having more shield (not the hit point type) busters would help.
I thought it would be cool if they added a max barrier health to the game.
Like 2000 max barrier health. If you had sigma and rein on your team, their shields would adjust in health to max out to a total of 2000 so each would be 1000.
The number could be different but the concept is what I think the game needs
