Baptiste is boring

you are a nice troll haha

hey, you are the one calling him op and boring (after you get into him he becomes even more fun than ana with his impact)

Nice Joke. Baptiste is arguably the worst or 2nd worst design for any support possibly any character along with Sig and Brig

Again, Baptiste is the support who requires the least amount of changes because his kit fits perfectly in 5v5 (you can quote me on this with the devs showing ow2 pvp hero reworks for all heroes), they can make him impactful, while not being busted because he has actual skill expression and mechanical skills which make a difference between a horrible bap, a mediocre bap, a good bap and a pro bap. And same goes for Ana&Zen

The most terrible designed supports are those with 1 dimensional kit and horrible skill expression, nonexistent positioning skills because of abilities to erase their mistakes and lacking any sort of mechanics / decision making / game sense. Mercy and Moira fall here unfortunately

Oh so a nice kit to you is being hits can?
Try again

Yeah he’s one of those heroes that can simultaneously be boring and insanely strong at the same time. I hope they rework him too.

A main support that doesn’t like the most flexy flex support… I think he’s just not the hero for you. That’s fine, I don’t enjoy most main supports either but I’m not demanding mercy reworks.

I don’t think he needs to be changed or rework because you feel obligated to play him to win. The problem isn’t him but how other supports needs to be reworked. As a zen main, I’m hoping they at least up his mobility in OW2. Because between that and his low health. It’s pretty much a death sentence if you’re dived. Which I don’t feel is fair seeing as all other supports have some form of self protection or evade. Bap has his jump, is pretty mobile, great damage, and can self heal. Anna at least has her sleep dart and can self heal. Brig is brig.…. Mercy is pretty mobile and can fly to other team mates if need be and self heals. Moria has fade and a form of self heal. I know self healing is coming to all supports, but zen definitely needs his mobility increase to at least be able to get back to his team if dived. I mean Anna could benefit from a hanzo style jump. Brig is getting an even further dash. And bap is great where he is.

Fun is subjective.

If you are playing purely for fun then you can just stick with the heroes you find fun.

Wanting a hero changed cause you don’t find it fun is just entitlement.

If you want to play meta and min max you will at some point have to prioritize value over fun and it’s impossible for a competitive game to be made that can be fun and maximize value for every player.

Why? Because fun is subjective.

For example I like hammer torb but I understand the game can’t be balanced round that.

I think the problem with zen is that he gets shut down a little too easily by the enemy DPS without a peel from his team. For other support heroes, I can come up with so many ideas on making them more fun to play, more balanced, and less oppressive to play against. But for zen, because he’s a glass cannon, I’m having a harder time thinking of ways in giving him more survivability without making him OP. I can make zen more viable by nerfing other supports, but viability isn’t a problem with zen so that isn’t necessary either.

I don’t think he’s the best designed support personally, but I don’t believe he is giga broken like many people like to portray him as either. He’s also not brain-dead easy to play and win games with either. Since in low ranks like bronze, it’s actually easier to win games using moira. But I guess people dislike baptiste because his impact increases dramatically with the right comp and a player good enough to use bap to his full potential. So in a way, he is kind of like the tracer of supports.

I agree with everything you said except for the suggestion on buffing his regen burst healing. I think stacking healing isn’t really good for the flow of the game and his regen burst is fine the way it is right now imo.

In fact, he would probably do just fine even without his regen burst healing his teammates. So if there’s anything about him that could potentially be straight up nerfed without any compensation buffs, I think it would be his regen burst healing his teammates.

If people really dislike his high uptime, they could even outright remove his regen burst ability and make him self-heal by giving him shield-health like zenyatta.

This change could also be done to ana as well if it’s really necessary. So they could give ana her own shield health, and make it so that she can no longer self-heal herself using her nade.

He’s okay, not great but okay. I hate cross hair moving mechanics, when you press a button (hurts my eyes).

He used to be fun until they nerfed him multiple times. I say they might as well just finish the job so at least people stop complaining about how OP he is.

he can be useful and i do pick him now and then when necessary, but yeah i agree he is a little boring

I agree, zen is definitely someone who they have balanced out well enough that it’s hard to make changes to him. Because any nerfs will make him too weak and any buffs maybe too OP. But that’s why my suggestion is a Mobility boost of some sort. Just something to make it a bit easier to get out of danger. I would really like something to help battle flankers but I guess that’s the trade off of being great at dealing out damage and being able to heal.

Did you find him fun even at his peak? I honestly never found him fun. They’ve even removed the spread and reduced the recoil right? I guess he just never was for me. (Although I do like immortality field, funnily enough)

Because having the ability to do both can be fun. Being able to heal and do damage was what made me really enjoy Lucio.

Every time they nerf him they give him a ton of buffs later. They literally buffed his dps, hps and his ult.

His kit is bloated mainly. If they would just remove Lamp and not even replace it with a new ability then he would probably be just fine honestly. But all the easy no skill AoE healing will surely cause additional problems as they already do!

As a flex player Bapo76 is the most fun support to play IMHO. Maybe right after Lucio, but that’s because I have a soft spot for classic rush comps and I used to play lots of Lucio back when he and Mercy used to be the only real viable healers in the game

If anything they could just buff Mercy and Moira and give Lucio something that’d make him less of a Rein babysitter or Ilios Well / Lijang tower artist. If they’d just revert Moira’s lingering heal nerfs and give her high tier viability back instead of gatekeeping her and did something like rework Mercy’s damage boosting to a rewarding ability that wouldn’t be her go-to strat anymore they could actually do something more with her too. With Lucio I think that instead of his aura being a circle it could be an oval that reached further in front of him while retaining the distance on all other sides he would be more versatile and useful in other comps too without making his aura overall oppressive

This would also deter Bapo from you comps since more than often the inability of your support partner’s performance plays a large role in why you need to go Baptiste for the heals and the immortality field. No defensive ult against your opponents’ combo? Good luck trying to get out of a Nanoblade/Gravdragon without a lamp. It’s not like you can pair Lucio/Zen with any Mercy/Moira comp when you don’t have poke or rush. He’s a necessity to the healthiness of the support role

Eh buffing It’s would Just be problematic. Already it’s annoying to deal with on top of lamp simply because it’s so much healing. Having a semi rework or full rework to me is fine. Or do nothing just don’t buff it. Oof think of the complainants.

Just because you don’t find the hero fun doesn’t mean others don’t. You are not required to play every hero in the game.
