Was Baptiste’s kit designed specifically with Goats comp in mind (similar to how Brig’s kit was initially designed specifically to counter Dive), or was it already finalized well before Goats comp was a thing?

I just would like to ask is there a particular reason as to why immortality field remains an extra second after destruction? Just feel jarring, considering hacking removes it instantly while destroying it leads to an extra second of it being on effect.

Can you give us a rough timeline for his story? When did he join Talon, relative to other events in the Overwatch world, and when did he defect?
Was there a particular event or experience that spurred him to leave?
He speaks Haitian Creole which is a French-based creole language.
Is he a dog or a cat person? It’s a very important question.

Do you think that immortality field is healthy for this style of game, like do you think that maybe it goes against the ideals of a shooter. I mean Zenyatta is a really cool hero but is his ultimate not now just trumped by immortality field? Is Baptiste not just a powercreep of zen/ana… immortality field beats trans and amp matrix is like a nano boost for the entire team.
I hope you look into tweaking him if needed because I feel he is incredibly strong right now but I guess we will just have to wait and see when he hits live.
To be overly critical I think Brigitte hit live in a terrible state and was extremely overpowered and then it took several nerfs to bring her in line with the other heroes, maybe we should be nerfing the new heroes on ptr before they hit live.
TL;DR Do you think Baptiste is too strong and are you willing to act fast on nerfs if needed?

Why doesn’t Baptiste have a Weapon Swaying animation when you move your camera around like every other hero? Is this coming soon?
I feel the hardest part about Baptiste kit is his primary fire, how did you come to choose a 3 round burst hitscan weapen to a support who heals with projectiles?

How did you go on with the design that baptiste doesn’t have any escape particularly in the horizontal aspect? Is it the same regard as Ana being a powerful support and main healer that led you to let baptiste without any true means of adaptable escape abilities?

I just want to know what his current goals are. When thinking about characterization in Overwatch heroes like Symmetra and D.va really stick out because their objectives and way of looking at the world are so clear.
What drives Baptiste? Does he prefer supporting allies or taking matters into his own hands, or is he truly both like his weapon implies? Is he a lone wolf or is there a team or organization that he would fit into? Is his agenda world peace or more of a localized (home country) dream? Symmetra is a great example of how her lore is in everything, many of her lines in gameplay mention ‘perfection’ or ‘order’.

Was Baptiste made to appeal players who would not pick healers otherwise but once they hear Baptiste is 50% dps and 50% support, they’d be down to try them?
What does the visor on his face do? it doesn’t seem to interact with any of his abilities. Also are we getting a skin that gives him more shape? because his armour makes him look like a lego toy.

I’ve seen it pointed out that other heroes have a primarily analogous palette but Baptiste has a primarily complementary palette. (Shout-out to @raegarooni on Twitter for that information!) What’s the motivation behind this departure, if any?
How old was he when he joined the Caribbean Coalition, and how old was he when he left it to join Talon?
How big is the Caribbean Coalition exactly? What is the size of their forces, for lack of a better term? It says it’s “pan-island” so I presume that refers to just Haiti and the Dominican Republic, but for clarification because of the name, which nations are in the Coalition?
When did he leave Talon? At least, in reference to events, did he leave before or after Retribution? Before Uprising?
When Cuerva said that Talon needed him more than ever, what does that mean? Where did he fall in the power structure in Talon at the time of his departure? Was he being considered for the Council?
This one is a bit outside him, but when his backstory says 30 million orphaned by the Crisis, does that mean 30 million who lost both (double orphaned) or their only parent? Does that figure include those who lost one but still had a surviving parent?
