His damage amp stat only tracks damage done to heroes. When someone shoots at enemy shields, torbs turret or other construct (anything except heroes themself) through amplification matrix Baptiste’s damage amplified stat does not increase (the damage itself is doubled). Its a bug.
Every other hero with damage amplification abilities track all damage boosted.

Blizzard, fix this stupid bug already. It makes Baptiste’s cute spray achievement unnecessary hard to do. Nearly impossible w/o “boosting”.
Looking at the numbers Im sure that it was intended to include all damage. Orisa needs to amp 900 in single use, and her stat does count shields. Baptiste needs 2500 w/o dying, and does not count shields. Orisa’s ult gives “only” +50% damage boost but it affects the entire team in a huge area and works for all damage types (including beam and melee damage). Baptiste’s gives +100% but its much harder to take advantage of. Overall they are comparable in what they can do in one use.
But one achievement needs almost 3 times more damage boosted AND does not take shields damage into account. It would be fine if it was just 3 times more damage w/o bugged stats.
Another example. 3-3 composition has 2150 combined hero health pool. Which means that if you set up everything perfectly (full team wipe in single ult use, only amped damage was used) you’ll get 1075 damage boosted. Which means you’ll have to do it 3 more times w/o dying. Its crazy. Not “cratered” level of crazy but still very crazy.

Agreed 100%. He is so bugged right now. The Amp Matrix not healing, His Immortality Field counting the “deaths prevented” stat whenever it saves teammates from big AoE damage like Self Destruct or Rip Tire. It’s a shame. Both of his achievements are nearly impossible to obtain atm.

blizzard please fix this, my wife left with my children after I kept failing to get the achievement and started smoking crack to compensate for the post game depression
