No opinion on the changes, just saying i can play the game and tweet, it doesnt take long to type a post or to send a tweet inbetween ques while still playing

Understand you can be on the forums or twitter while still playing the game and testing the changes, ill get back to you with my opinion when i actually try them myself

Out of all the changes, the LMB ones are what I want to keep. Iā€™ve longed for a faster LMB fire rate for months, donā€™t take this away from me now. :grimacing:

Will it really affect high play as much as lower ranked play? Iā€™m not in a position to tell and you are. Iā€™m guessing the wider window was so scrubs like me could get value out of it more reliably, but if this makes ripples in GM+ then yeah, I wouldnā€™t be surprised if the Matrix change gets toned down or just pulled.

I think it could, a lot. When Bap uses Window in GM your team instantly screams to hide out of LoS because if you stand in front of it for even 1 second you get shredded instantly, especially tanks.

Granted that was moreso when Bunker was being played as everyone was standing behind Orisa and firing past her, but it still was a common strategy with Rein Zarya comps too ^^

Although bunker is much weaker now, I can see it coming back in conjunction with all of the past changes. Bap damage + healing buffs, and ult buff, in conjunction with Orisaā€™s projectile speed buff could create a very deadly ranged spam version of Bunker.

We might see Bap Zen Orisa comps be played a lot more now, Idk though, only time will tell.

Iā€™d prefer if they just peeled down the size a bit and gave him some power somewhere else if he still needs it, but thatā€™s just me.

probably more because bapā€™s utility is already way better as you climb and they buffed his ultimate by quite a bit on top of increasing his hps a fair amount

Thereā€™s no real way to know until we see it happen. Outside of certain niche comps (Bastion bunker, for example) and Orisa Rein in GM, 99% of Bap players including in GM and even in OWL used it for themselves. Now that itā€™s so massive itā€™d probably be used a bit more as a team oriented ult rather then a personal damage multiplier for Bap since itā€™s a lot easier to place, notice and shoot through, but we really just have to wait and see.

(Posts snipped for bevityā€™s sake, I did read them in their entirety.) Good takes, thanks. Personally, Iā€™d be fine if they hold off on Matrix changes and see if the gun tweaks make any difference first. Weā€™ve been down the road of multiple big buffs with Bap before and that didnā€™t end well.

It needed this.

Because it caused his team to cluster up tightly, trying to use it before could be actively counterproductive - you could fire strike an entire team trying for that, for example. It was such a problem I almost always used it purely to increase my own damage/healing as allies either wouldnā€™t try to fire through or theyā€™d get punished for it.

Y-You saw the T500 Competitive icon on Ryanā€™s pfp, rightā€¦? Like, Iā€™m not hallucinating that. You did not just tell a T500 whatā€™s good and what isnā€™tā€¦

As a high Masters / low GM myself, Bapā€™s ult was already strong as hell and could lead to a teamwipe firestrike or any other kinds of crazy combos. Not to mention the absolute insane pressure it already provided, which is why it had to be nerfed repeatedly in the past with its duration.

Sure it was buffed for lower ranks but like, this is REALLY strong and I donā€™t expect it go through at all.
