so 4 heroes but the maximum of two per role. i think some players will have to learn or train with heroes they dont usually play
personally i think ill have to learn some heroes that usually im uncomfortable to play with or dont play often
so… saying my top two picked played in role are banned ill list the ones that ill play and hopefully do well with
dps - if widow and sombra are banned…
-then ill go ashe. i dont play her as much as i use too but ive played her so much and she is so easy to use. just point and click. im no pro with her but my overall winrate is 53 percent with over 1000 games. my problem will be a subsitute for sombra. flankerwise i guess ill have to play reaper since he is pretty easy and straightforward. i would want to play tracer but yea… that aint easy or ill have to train
support - moira and ana
-for sure ana is a goner and yea ill be in trouble if both ana and moira are banned. i guess mercy is the hero i would play but i kind of hate playing her since i cant carry with her or im at the mercy of my dps and tank. with moira i can actually turn a game around but not as mercy… unless i get good rez’s i guess. another hero i can play is kiriko but yea im not the greatest with her and i only have a total winrate of 47 percent i think. her perks look awesome so maybe that will make up for it?
tank - … i never play this role BUT if by RARE chance i do and if Rein/dva are banned then… uhh lol…
-orisa i guess… or zarya. still orisa would be the best choice for me since she is basically a hitscan tank. only problem i have with her is the use of javelin and using her cooldowns at the right time since i hardly play her. i mean its not hard or anything, use cooldown when you feel you are about to die but the javelin is my problem. im not good at projectile base abilities. ive played zarya but im meh with her. guess ill have to train if i decide to play tank just in case d.va/rein are banned
so whats your plan guys? who will you play if your favorites are banned and are you well versed in MANY heroes… im not lol.
i guess mystery hero players dont have to worry, like that poster baja who had a winrate of like 60% or more. i still find that insane sheesh

Hero bans will be short lived. It won’t take long and the dev team will implement the same thing they did in OW1. Where they dictate which characters are banned.
Have you played bap since they reduced his recoil? Pretty much do not need to compensate for it at all anymore. Unless shooting real long distance, where he will have massive falloff anyways.
I have well over a hundred hours on every tank with the exceptions of Mauga and Hazard, as they are just so new that I’m not there yet, but I feel really comfortable on those heroes anyway. I can play every tank in the roster to a high level, I feel. So whoever gets banned, I’ll be fine.
I’m really not the biggest fan of hero bans personally, but I understand the appeal, and Im not mad about it. If this helps the game retain players because the majority like it, I think that’s a really good thing and that it should be implemented, even if I personally don’t care for it. Either way, my hero pool is really diverse, so it’s not gonna affect my ability to win, only potentially my ability to play what I want to in that moment.
As long as player identities are hidden during ban phase so it isn’t just used to target ban which they hinted to considering they said “punching down” I think it’s fine. Sure it will be unlucky if the heroes I enjoy are overbuffed, but it also means devs get better feedback from the entire player base so maybe emergency patches will be quicker.
Well, nobody. 90% of the roster is locked behind “games played”. If you ban 2 support heroes (Mercy and Lucio) then a new player has no selectable support heroes, you’ve won immediately.
Like I said in your other thread, I think they developed it as an anti-smurf measure. The more time they can put between opening an account and launching it into comp, the better.
It was an attempt to stop people camping multiple places on the t500 leaderboard with all their alts if I recall.
But, on the bright side, by the time an account is comp ready, they’re at no risk of having all their options blocked by a ban vote.
Nothing. I’ll simply close the game if I can’t play the heroes that I got on to play.
I doubt Reaper will even get banned, but if I have to deal with him never being reworked and a system that can stop me from playing him entirely, I have no reason to even get on.
If there’s a chance of me not being able to play him, they should’ve at least made him enjoyable to play when I have the ability to pick him.
That and I don’t play comp, so I probably wont have to deal with bans.

But in all seriousness depending on the map, Sigma, Orisa, Rein, Winston, Mauga, or Ram. I play all of them and will just go to the next option. I could play the other tanks, but I’m either not great at them (ball) or I hate playing them (Hog, Hazard, Doom)
DPS
I don’t play this that often. I tend to play Mei, Bastion, and Sombra. But also Sojourn, Soldier, and Junk are all in my wheelhouse too.

I main Kiriko and Juno. I also play Ana and Mercy regularly. I can play Bap, Moira, and Brig. I used to play Lucio and Zen. So basically I can play anything.
