why was i banned for quitting a game that was over for 4 hours? once the round is over and the defeat/winner screen pops up that means the round is over and i can quit without being penalized. what the F***!

Apparently, and this has been an issue for a long long time, leaving during the winners’ pose or the POTG is considered “toxic leaving” behavior by the automoderating bot.

So yes…Blizz is forcing us to watch all of that play out regardless if the match is over and you played the entire game.

Why not just wait until the game concludes if you are worried about accidentally leaving early? You should have definitely been more careful after you endured two separate twenty minutes penalties…

Quitting the game at any stage after the game starts will count as you ‘leaving’, even if you ‘leave’ after the victory/defeat screen pops up. Until you’re quite literally removed from the game and see the hero progression screen, you’re still in the game.

I’ve left plenty of games during the potg without penalty.

I’ll leave all the time after victory/ defeat screens, and have never been penalized. Are you sure it wasnt a round of control?

i have as well and gotten both as well gotten penalised at the hero select grace period my guess is that its server side

Not true. I leave every game as soon as the victory/defeat screen appears. Often I already hit escape and just wait for the sound of that screen and select leave game. Never been punished in any way. Played maybe 12 games today and left every one of them that way.

Me and a lot of other people do what you’re claiming you did all the time without penalty so you’re definitely lying

No, he’s not. This is an ANCIENT bug that was even around in OW1 but its inconsistent. Usually you can leave at the victory/defeat screen w/o issue but sometimes it registers as an in-match leaving event.

Haven’t seen this personally, but if other people see it, could be a bug. Probably should post info on the match in the Bug Report forum.

If it’s a bug then this is much worse than before since Oroku will be S.O.L. I was banned from this game in past because of a loading screen bug and lost MMR/Endorsement/Stats/Etc. Developers can’t detect these sorts of things according to them so if Oroku wasn’t intentionally leaving early then R.I.P.

working as intended - also you didnt leave during the victory/defeat screen and if you did you had to have left other games to get a suspension.

Total waste of time that, almost always something lame too like two normal and sloppy kills or a boring ult wipe.

Or there’s a bug. I’ve left just fine as soon as the victory or defeat comes up, but I don’t dismiss this guy’s experience outright since it could be an actual bug.
