I’m tired of having throwers in my ranked games, it makes the game tilting. Bastion on Anubis attack with no shields and just turreting in front of the whole enemy… DPS countered by 3 enemy characters and not changing… Blizz won’t ban them, will do nothing about it. Can you please change something? It’s unbeareable to keep playing ranked as a supp like this. If a player gets enough reports for soft throwing, they should be checked and possibly banned.

Sorry, but throwers and leavers pay Blizzards bills the same way you do. This isn’t a truly competitive game, it is unreasonable of you to expect that Blizzard will take a hard stance to protect the competitiveness of a game that isn’t designed to be competitive. This game is built for casuals, marketed to casuals, and as such is filled with casuals. Blizzard made the choice between catering to competitive players or casual players a long time ago, there is no turning back now. This is why ridiculous systems like hidden MMR and forced 50/50 win rate exist, to cater to those casuals who otherwise couldn’t meet the demands of a harsher system.

Soft throwing is nigh impossible to prove, therefore it can’t really be punished or banned.

Just refuse to buy more Blizzard / Activision games and don’t do micro transactions. They don’t want to support their player base anymore. Blizzard has gone so far down hill since they merged with Activision anyways. All they care about is money not game quality and definitely not user experience. Just organize players to boycott them until they start to change their stance on things. oh and definitely keep playing their games and make them use the bandwidth and server power 
One day their cash cow of World of Warcraft will fall and they will regret not taking care of their players.

Soft throwing isn’t really bannable or even provable. Soft throwing usually just implies bad play or someone who is playing in very suboptimal conditions, it may not even be their fault. Hard throwing however is and should be bannable.

So when a player say relax it’s just acrade when you ask them not to feed and play with the team … is that soft throwing? or should that be bannable?

I mean if they are trying then it isn’t really bannable. The problem is the definition of soft throwing is thrown around so much so loosely that it does not have a solid definition.
It’s only bannable when they admit to throwing, or just AFK into their team or something

so basically the only mode people should even bother playing as a team is comp then? because the excuse there is it’s just a game.

Comp is the “serious” mode. Everything else is for fun and/or practice, especially arcade.

practice involves TEAM WORK. not ffa which is were people that don’t want to play as a team should be playing. in fact team work is the skill that seems in the lowest supply in overwatch.

If you’re that upset that people don’t play who/how you want them to, get a pre-made squad and boss them around in any mode you choose.

Team work would work if the devs let us have a clan or guild system to build one.
But it’s group project with random making the team play random and inconsistent.
Soft throwing is impossible to detect that’s why it is the perfect way to throw
it has nothing to do with bossing people around .,… and that is the kind of attitude people that do the throwing crap have. team work isn’t bossing anyone around. it is playing together as a group and accomplishing the goal which is winning the match. not having healers run up and play tank because they want to mess around and " just have fun" respect your team mates the time people put into team games isn’t for others to just waste because the other person has such a low opinion of themselves that “just having fun” includes ruining a game for others. and yes that was ranty because attitudes like his really annoy me removing team matches from people that make an effort to drop rank or soft throw or “just want to have fun” by not playing with a team or filling the role they have would not be a bad thing. it would help the player base learn what comradery and team work is … and the ones that don’t like that can still play ffa type matches.

Soft throwing doesnt exist. If they’re actively hindering your game out of spite then its throwing. If they are trying but arent playing the most optimal hero, it’s not throwing.
Why even have the term throwing. Everyone throws it around. It’s lost all meaning. Throwing is just someone you dont like and decide to name call.
