Ball unkillable in total mayhem = Worst than pre Zarya

Pre Zarya with Infinite Bubbles has been nerfed some week after OW2 release. Standing still on point or Payload and bubbling 24/7.

Hammond after Sombra nerf in Season 1 is worst than Pre Zarya. Standing still and using shield ability 24/7. Before even the shield is out of time, Ball can use again his shield ability. So you dont have any time or chance to reach even his normal HP.
The Old Zarya was killable with example Rein charge out of map or Point. Charging Ball with rein wont kill him. He is faster back on point than rein and can get back if he is out of map.

Sombras hack is useless with only 1,5 sec Hack and 6 sec Pause to hack again.
Even with bastion + zen discord you dont even reach his normal HP.

You literally need 4-5 people with teamwork and ults to kill hammond. Sadly its not a 5v1 its 5v5…

Please Dev Team nerf his shield ability in that Mode!

As a fellow Total Mayhem enjoyer, honestly he is NOT worse than pre-Zarya. Season 1 Zarya was, literally, unkillable: you can still kill Hammond. You can use Mei’s ult to freeze and burst him down, Torb ult will shred through his health, Pharah can do some pretty nasty things considering how fast her ult charges, and Sigma + Sombra is pretty spooky to every enemy.

There’s also the matter of using Rein’s charge to dislocate him, or Sigma’s ult to get him off point, or Doomfist to punch him away. You could also use Zarya’s grav to force him into one position.

He is very hard to kill, but season 1 Zarya literally could not be killed. Granted, though, it is sort of funny to have to use ults (ideally, several) to burst Hammond down enough: and even then, that’s assuming team coordination.

I agree its not as bad, but he does have a point. The most effective techniques that dealt with Zarya dont work on Hammond because his mobility allows him to return far more quickly, or avoid falling o0ff the map due to his mobility options.

In the hands of a decent ball player, he is nearly as unkillable as Zarya s1 was without heavy coordination. Things like doom punch, sigma ult, and doom were also common trademarks of how to deal with Zarya in s1, for the exact same reasons.

Each character needs to be balanced individually for Total Mayhem. Few are too powerful and many are too weak. If I was given the ability to balance the game mode equitably I would.

I dont think the mode is popular enough to warrant hero specific balance changes (for every hero). Heck they’re barely willing to fix open queue modes which are like 90% of the game modes in their game.

I think it’s reasonable that some heroes will be good and some are bad in the mode. You just can’t have some that are just so strong that they break it for literally everyone.

Ball is unkillable in RQ. So what’s the difference with TM?

Because in role queue ball is only unkillable if he plays well and doesn’t overstay his welcome in combat. In TM he can literally indefinitely stall a payload by himself, 1v5.
