Balancement changes: why overwatch is less fun than how it could be(IMHO)

Hi, before I start talking about the ideas I came up with, I’d like to tell you that these are only my opinions, I just want to share them.

So, overwatch is a pretty fun and unique game overall, with interesting characters and background, but some of them are really ruining this game, I’m talking about the characters that can one-shot kill almost every offense/defense/support character or that can use some tricks to bring them to an unavoidable death without any counterplay. It’s not healthy for the game in no way, even when you require a lot of skill to do these things. So let’s start:

  1. Widowmaker

Widowmaker has always been a powerful character in the right hands, but her headshots feel too strong, since they have a 2.5 multiplier. It means that they can one shot every squishy in the game. To make them more balanced their damage should be reduced to 180 from 300. To compensate, she could be able to set up 2 mines at once, but they’ll deal 60 damages in 3 seconds instead of 75 in 5 seconds.

  1. McCree

So, McCree can’t actually one shot, but if he manages to stun you, you are almost certainly dead(if you’re a squishy). To overcome to this, his stun’s duration should be reduced by 0.15s. To compensate, he could have a 2s CD on his roll.

  1. Roadhog

Roadhog isn’t actually the best hero ever, because he can’t do so much from long range, he has only his hook to compensate the distance, even though with his healing and his health he should survive enough to actually do something. His hook, though, is really frustrating to deal with and has no counterplay, so I think it needs at least a small nerf to its range(like 10%). I can’t say anythig else about him because it could compromise his core mechanics.

  1. Junkrat

Well, now it’s junkrat’s turn. This character is the worst thing the game has, it overshadows every other defense character, his damage is insane, his bombs are a good mobility tool and provide a really good damage at short range, his trap has no counter play if it catches you, if you manage to kill him he releases his bombs that in close spaces will probably kill you. He needs some serious nerfs either to his abilities or to his main attack. I’d suggest a slight nerf to the second, the direct hit should deal 80 points of damage and the max splash damage should be 60.

  1. Hanzo

Since scatter arrow is being reworked, Hanzo has only the same problem of widowmaker: the headshot. It deals too much damage and needs a slight nerf.

I still want to remember that these are only ideas and opinions, bye!

So basically you want to nerf Widow,Mccree and Roadhog into the ground to the point where they never get played.

That would actually make McCree awesome because he’d have infinite ammo with rolls

wait 0.15 seconds flash???
That is more useless than Shadow Step

Hook no counter play. HAHAHAHAHA. No counter play? HAHAHAHA.

No. It’s countered by half the classes and every wall/pillar in the game.

The flash lasts 0.7s, with the reduction it lasts for 0.55s

Balancement?

Hmmmmmm

huh sorry, I thought that you want the flash to be 0.15 sec.

I am a mercy main just let me preface this, but I pretty much disagree with the changes you’re insisting.

WIDOW: I have played like 30 hours of widow and I am not that great i’ll be honest but if you have these changes you’ll make her useless and the fun of one shot killing someone will be gone.

McCree: His ult is already useless basically and even when you flashbang someone its not guarantee kill, maybe zarya bubbles them maybe Mcree fired some shots previously and needs to reload. At the point you are trying to nerf his flashbang thats already inconsistent you might as well remove it.

Roadhog: His hook isn’t that far range, if you take away his range then he will be pretty useless against mcree’s, tracers and basically any dps hero.

JunkRat: I do agree that junkrat needs some minor nerfs.

Hanzo: I honestly wouldn’t care if they removed the hero.

I can understand what you’re saying for Widowmaker and Roadhog, but do you really think that 0.55s of stun instead of 0.7s will really impact a skillfull mcCree? Also I suggested to decrease his roll’s CD by 2 seconds
