Balanced Cassidy

Here’s a viable rework of the hero-

  • Base HP of 225 reduced to 200

  • Hero model size reduced by 17%

  • FTH base damage lowered from 50 to 40

  • Peacekeeper base damage increased from 70 to 75.

  • Flashbang AOE reduced from 3.5m to 0.7m

  • Flashbang Range increased from 8m to 13m

  • Deadeye replaced with Silver Bullets

SILVER BULLETS

  • Cassidy manually loads 6 Silver Bullets into the Peacekeeper (not an instant refill like Deadeye).

  • Silver Bullets do 95 dmg a piece with 0 falloff. They can be fired out of his primary, or secondary with no falloff penalty.

  • They last until Cassidy either fires all 6 of them, he reloads, or he dies. While Silver Bullets are loaded, Cassidy still has full access to his kit and mobility.

  • Voiceline “How 'bout something shiny” is used when Ult is activated and bullets are loaded. Cassidy counts the bullets as they are fired starting with “One”, then “two”, etc. informing enemies how many Silver Bullets are left.

Here is my idea

  1. Increase fire rate
  2. Increase reload speed - can be interrupted by player to half fill his gun with ammo
  3. Remove fan the hammer
  4. Reduce hit box slightly - in line with Soldier 76 - reduce Hp to 200
  5. Removed air roll and reload on roll - give back longer roll distance with shorter cool down.
  6. Dead Eye changed - no longer auto aim and no longer slows Cassidy. Still has damage ramp up, but each shot needs to be aimed manually. Limited to 6 shots.
  7. Flash bang changed to just disable movement ability - Tracer can still move and shoot, but no blinks.

Here is my take:
Hp reverted back to 200hp.
McCree can now do an additional dive after a roll to increase distance travelled by jumping after a roll.

McCree never needed much, just needed a tad more mobility to increase his survivability. The devs brute forced it by increasing his max HP, which achieved this but also made him an even stronger duelist.

Here’s my suggestion:

Replace devs who are in charge of hero balancing and let the new ones do a proper job.

My take would be just:

Mccree:

  • Hp decreased from 225 to 200
  • Combat roll distance increased by 20% more distance
  • Hitbox model is now more accurate to the character model OR reduced model size by 10%
  • FTH damage decreased from 50 to 45 per bullet.
  • Peacekeeper reload speed changed from 1.5s to 1.2s.
  • Air Roll removed.

I like the silver bullets ultimate, Dead Eye is terrible. Changing flashbang is a terrible idea, you need flashbang in the game as it is now with high mobility characters like Tracer. His whole kit is built around flashbang, combat roll isn’t a good ability.

Shrinking his hitbox, buffing his range and giving him a new ultimate that isn’t Dead Eye to lose the 25hp would be fine.

Changing a lot of things at once won’t show us what is going wrong with their balance really.

Dayyyym! I wonder where are all these McCrees that you are so scared of? I see enemy cree, I know that game I have more chances to win already. A hero shooting peanuts of the range and somebody don’t want to play aim, but streetfighter, rolling dung, and naruta simulator instead. Then go to forum and complain.

You know, I would love that so much.

From the devs that brang us Moth Mercy, Brig, Doomfist, The 3 reworks of Symmetra, etc etc

The current devs just don’t have a clue at balance or healthy hero design. It takes them months upon months to fix anything they blatantly broke.

This but halve flashbang radius instead of FTH nerf. Make him need to atleast kind of hit the enemy. The amount of times a cree misses a flashbang and I still get stunned is stupid. They talk about skill but hitting a hard cc by missing isn’t even mentioned.

The Sym, Torb reworks are good.

I am not saying the devs don’t eventually get there. I am saying that it is practically a stab in the dark until they do.

Sym rework is decent, can you remember who multiple prior iterations though just to get to this point?

Ahhhh the many times i dash through a damn Cree but yet i still get stunned when im either way behind him or way above him as he clearly misses the flash. But yet that somehow hits me .

The problem with flash bang is its radius and how its even better on less mobile heroes.

Honestly Tracer needs some changes. We shouldn’t be morphing the game just so Tracer can stay the same.

It could be changed to a root ability where they cannot move, but still can shoot.

You can’t change the radius with heroes like Tracer, Genji, Doomfist.

That is why I rather change its effect. Not a hard stun. Something enough to hinder flankers, but not be even better on less mobile heroes.

Really dude? Do you really think you can miss flash with these heroes for how predictable their mobility is?

Genji has dash and a 2 second deflect. Doomfist rollouts are some next level bs.

Ngl Silver bullets sounds cool.

Cree counting would be scary

Part of me almost thinks it would work/sound better if he was counting down instead.
