This is the first time i have seen it, but whenever i have backfilled into a game since the April Fools update, my game doesn’t run higher than 30 Fps, and goes below 10 at times.
ONLY WHEN BACKFILLING
If i play any other game where I’m in from the start or even stay and see the team who won or the POTG it runs perfectly fine. Its actually unplayable but i don’t want to leave because of the leaver penalty for so many games as it seems like i am being loaded into at least 1/3 of my queues into Underwatch as a backfill. Its worse on me because I play solo most of the time so i get backfilled often.
I don’t know how to, or cant find a fix on this, but its also not like they can disable backfilling as games would be an instant loss for whichever team has a leaver, or just make some queues for solo players hellishly long. Its terrible.

Yes, I have also had this multiple times backfilling into the April Fool’s mode. From my usually 280fps down to one game I was at 30fps or lower. I feel like this bug is particularly present in arcade modes, and, while arcade is arcade, they still really need to find a permanent fix to this. This bug has been present for A LONG TIME.
This was specific to a backfill to the April Fool’s mode, so I believe? that’s a separate bug from the FPS drops bug listed at the top of the forum. But if they want more information I can provide that same info for this.

However, this can happen even if it’s not a backfill.
This is a critical bug, so please fix it as soon as possible.

I think im having the same issue, been playing only april fools and backfilled on horizon lunar colony and my frames dropped from 165-30fps it was awful, hoping this is a bug and not a hardware issue
Happened to me as well. I play at 250 fps normally and it never gets bellow 200 at any point, but backfilling in the underwatch mode just locks the fps at 10-40 fps for the remainder of the game…
Make reports with replay codes of these games. It’s the best way to help them identify the problem.
Yep same issue here - been trying to figure out if it was certain skins causing it, but you’re totally right, it’s only games I’ve been backfilled into this happens in!
