Back in Time to Say "See Ya."

I appreciate the positive words.

I know in the past I too have fallen victim to OW Stockholm Syndrome, but I want people to know it’s not impossible to quit, and frankly it’s not all that difficult. All you need is a new game you enjoy and people to queue it with.

The industry is wildly expansive and it’s refreshing to see a dev team who content dumps weekly, seasonally and annually in Destiny. The thing is, there’s plenty of other titles out there doing the same, OW just isn’t one of them.

You’ll find something, and once you do then find friends to queue with.

That is why you talk about it in ow forums, wd! xD
Rule#1 - you can’t just hop off the niddle
Rule#2 - ow is forever
Rule#3 - love hate relationships is the most addicting

Yeah I’ve played Destiny for a while and if you’re mad about Blizzard’s new financial model then you’re in for a big shock when you see what Bungie’s been cooking lol

Eat some black licorice. It has a therapeutic effect on mouth sores.

If you’re going out of your way to type this much letalone log into the Overwatch forums, you’re lying.

Damn it. We lost another good one.

I very much doubt they are. This is exactly the post of them leaving that you would expect.

Clear, accurate, and with solutions.

I didn’t always see eye to eye with them, but this is very much in character.

They are gone, we have lost them.

Many here don’t understand why people write up the “I quit!” posts.

Sure, some is for attention and you find them playing the game a few weeks or months later. But others are disgusted with the direction that the game is going.

  • The once, fun, amazing heroes they loved got changed in horrible ways.
  • Maps and/or game modes got removed, replaced with ones of lesser quality
  • Shifts in game design completely break established characters.

It’s like buying your favorite kind of ice cream for years and then the company behind it changes the recipe in such a way that the end product is no longer edible.

These are people the game should be keeping. But no, people come here to mock them. Not even an ounce of sympathy.

What you fools don’t realize is the leavers will have the last laugh. Queue times are going to skyrocket after the shine wears off and your precious game will become unplayable. Just like how you drove OW1 Tank players away, OW2 is driving support players away.

And they won’t just ‘adapt’. They’ll LEAVE.

And what does saying “I quit!” on here do?
They don’t look at the forums, they look at the statistics - and of course, their wallets. Look at how they view balancing the game on their blogs, its purely based on numbers, which isn’t even a bad idea. The forums here are completely misused, forums are for discussions, bugs, and help between community members, not complaining and yelling at the developers. At best its got a meh attempt at getting others to leave.

All video game forums have a negative bias. That’s just part of the industry. Not saying it’s right, but I’m saying that’s the way it is.

And as for other forums, they aren’t much better.

Well. Papi has already been gone nineteen times longer than Qwaser was. Lmao.

Brutal, but honestly fair.

I stopped playing almost two months ago and have not looked back.

OW2 and the direction they’re taking the game in, has ruined any and all fun I could have playing their game.

I’m currently in the process of selling all my OW merchandise, too. It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth when I see it.

Good for you! Hang in there though, because I know the desire to return will eventually hit!

I think the key is replacing OW with something more enjoyable. Find a game that gets you going and stick to it! Make friends that grind it and you’ll be set.
