When a menu screen has an [ESCAPE]BACK option, and you click it or type Escape it to exit to a higher level menu, the scrolling position of any lists in the higher level menu has reset to the beginning. This issue is pervasive across almost all of the menus in OW2. Some examples:
- In the shop, going into and back out of an item or bundle resets the scroll position back to the top.
- In the lists of voice lines, emotes, sprays, etc., for a hero, double-clicking one to bring up the equip radial menu and then pressing Escape to cancel resets the scroll position to the top of the list
- On the seasonal event Reward Preview screen, left-clicking to “Inspect Rewards” causes the reward preview to reset to the first page
- In the Battle Pass Rewards list, double-clicking a spray, voice line, etc., and then escaping back out of the radial menu resets the rewards list scroll position back to the top
An interesting exception is the [SHOP][MYTHIC][SEASONAL] tab bar in the shop. The selected tab stays selected after examining an item and then exiting out of it, but that tab’s contents are scrolled back to the top.
This has been mentioned in a forum post, but I couldn’t find any bug reports about it. It’s incredibly annoying, and makes me dread examining my loot and customizing my hero, which is probably not how the devs are hoping I’ll feel.
