Baby D.Va Only option

When picking d.va , they should give you the option to spawn outside of mech automatically. Maybe if you press the x/square button while hovering over her on the hero selection screen can toggle mech or no mech . I love d.va but I don’t play as her because I hate being in a giant ugly mech. Sometimes I purposely try to die just so I can be baby d.va. I want to be baby d.va always with no mech. I can be a dps instead of a tank hands down with baby d.va. But I hate tanking and people think I’m gonna tank when I pick her but little do they know I’m trying to suicide until I’m baby d.va who should be classified as a dps. If I can be baby d.va from the start there would be no more confusion .

Just make it so she can hold Q for 3 seconds to demech.

No it should be an option in every games . It’s in competitive matches that I want to be baby d.va most .

Then play a different hero. D.Va is a tank and takes up the tank slot, you may as well be reported for throwing because that is what you are trying to do, doing nothing but play baby D.Va who has no skills, one of the lowest HP values in the game, and mediocre DPS.

I just think they should split d.va into two different hero’s and get rid of her ability to disengage her mech. They can leave the mech as a tank and make baby d.va a dps and give her more abilities . That way people who wanna mech can still but no longer can leave their mech and then people who want to be baby dva always can too! And then compositions will be better so you can have baby dva and have a tank too and people won’t expect me to tank

Please no… I’m not against it being a custom games option but just… No, D.va is a great hero, her mech is what MAKES her so good. Splitting her and the mech would be a horrible decision, its too much a part of her character.

Are you crazy? How do you not love her Meka? I would give anything to own one myself, and when I have to abort, running around as the baby Dva pilot feels so… naked :persevere:

D.va is awful with mech but by herself she could be a much stronger character ! They should give her her a double jump and an alternate fire like a missle !!

There’s an option in custom games where you can spawn as D.Va without her mech so.

You can do it in custom games (tho I don’t know why you would handicap yourself like that)

If D.Va didn’t have her mech, then that just pretty much defeats the whole purpose of her being in the ‘tank’ role.

People keep saying this and the answer will always be no.

D.Va (despite her play style) is a tank. She’s meant to be a frontline bruiser who gets in the enemy’s face, not a midline DPS. Not to mention other, actual DPS do that job better.
