Awful ping issues

Hello,

I have been having very bad ping spikes for a long time, but recently its gotten so bad I can no longer play at all. My ISP says explicitly its not them, with techs checking my stuff twice now. My only option is that it might be a blizzard issue… I have performed some network tests with the Central Servers. Please see below.

I had to remove the “.” before com to adhere to the no links error.

Unfortunately you will be left on with this issue. The SA players are also having problems with ping for the last month and none was done, not even a representative of Blizzard said anything. :confused:

That’s not true. Here is the staff responding to the SA issue:

OP will need to provide a connection test that offers data for troubleshooting, like a WinMTR or PingPlotter. A traceroute is only useful if you can’t login.

It’s completely true, not only me but plenty of other users are complaining about ping issues for almost 2 months now, don’t say anything if you are not fully aware of the issue. And the only thing said by a Blizzard representative on the forum was to request users log registry, and since then we still have no news about the issue. There’s no response to what is being complained.

It’s same type of problem that happened on launch and in multiple other seasons, but not only, every now and then I get put into high ping servers in quick play and most of the time if I enter training. It’s the same thing as ever.

It make no sense why they would include high ping servers in their pool served to users from regions outside their own, it would be understanable as fallback if the entire region were offline, but doesnt seem to be the case.

Why go to the trouble of depending on the routing to assign, when you can just give the option for the player to choose the region or just by getting the latency from the user, it would be enough to assign him the region or multiple if in the US. Asking the ISP to fix routing issues or even changing servers providers to deal with this, seems like temporary and bad bandaid, to rely on ISP reliability.

I am fully aware of the issue, I see the posts everyday.

Collecting data to pass on is how Blizzard responds to these issues. They have no control over ISPs on another continent.

Since the Halloween 2023 patch my ping spikes and ultimately kicks me from the game (which now results in a suspension- at no fault of my own as I can’t rejoin a quick play game). I have checked my internet connection and my LAN is 145mbps and 70upload I’m in Canada with fiber . No issues in any other game and no issues in overwatch until this patch - now I’m to scared to join a comp game or even play quick play as the server shuts down and I get suspended. Very frustrating and very disappointing. Paid for a battle pass and can’t even play the game.
