Avoiding players

So like. Work with me here.

What does the avoid system actually do? Because in my last 3 matches ive had at least two players i have avoided on my team.

I have them avoided for a reason but i keep getting put on their team.

What is the point of a system that doesnt do what it’s designed to do?

Yeah it doesn’t work

In certain locations and tiers there aren’t enough players to form ‘fair’ matches, so your avoid list gets more flexible in those cases. You can try to pin them for a ‘stronger’ avoid, but a long time ago devs stated it was no longer a guarantee.

/Avoid list players are de-prioritized, aka put low on the matching list, but it does not completely eliminate them from becoming part of your group if there are no other players within the allowed ping and MMR range permitted.

Everyone would rather play a game with someone they know is terrible (play, personality, both) rather than wait a couple minutes more.

RIGHT???

(no)

When you queue, you are there to serve the devs, not the reverse. They’ve made that very clear. Military recruiters care more about your preferences than Blizzard.

This is unfortunate, i have 3 accounts pinned that are currently recognised throwers in my area.

Requiring a pin slot for a “higher chance” of avoiding players the game refuses to ban isnt a great business model

It tries to avoid them on your team, if it can.

Using the PIN function will mean more likley avoid them.

First of all it’s not a business model at all, like what does that even mean  But also it’s basically just like before they expanded the avoid list. You had 3 avoid slots and you still have those 3 slots. It’s just that the other slots they added are soft-avoids instead.

The only downgrade to before is that you have to manually move people into those 3 slots now.
