I still dont get why this game has an automatic Ban System.
Either way if the report is false or not, it counts at the end you get a Ban or mute.
Cause the Support cant look at the evidence anyway, they dont let you appeal on it too. I mean, why? Why you have an appeal option if they cant do anything anyway?
Its not fair. I think this game should have some sort of system like League of Legends had, players vote whats wrong and whats fake report.
Fake reports dont even get banned.
Sadly you get even a report for a simple âggâ.
Before you judge me: Iâm a person whoâs communicative. I even write normal smalltalk in chat. But some players today are so butthurt, that they even see that a reason to report.

If your report is genuinely false and you were banned for false reasons, you can use the appeal system and they might accept your appeal.
If you were being rude, toxic, cheating, or violating their EULA. The appeal system probably wonât work.
Keep in mind that being banned for no valid reason is extremely rare.

Look, actually putting effort into their report system would be hard. Blizz is a small indie company after all.

It seems generally effective.
While thereâs always potential for outliers, the only way to have action taken on your account from reports is for a large proportion of the people you play with to agree that you deserve it, to the point that those players will actually go through the mild effort of submitting a report.

The problem is also, you can take something as an insult even when someone dont wrote an insult at all. It valides from person to person. And thats the fact i dont think is fair anyway.
In some point, yes its effective. But its using it against people that write in chat too.
I mean someone can report someone in the chat, just because he got killed by him OR cause he dont want to read smalltalk at all.
Pretty sure Bans arenât automated, but I believe silences are.
If you get banned, it was by a moderator looking over your reports and deciding to ban you. I forgot where the CM on this forum posted this, but I remember reading it more than once.
If you were being rude, toxic etc. for even 1 game appeal will not work. Customer service just clicks ctr+f and find the 1 bad word you said and the ban is justified. They made the option so you donât sue them and thats all it is for.

Even the perma-bans are automated. Not only that you can get 4 people to stack with you and you report the 1 person you get matched with. Easily couple-teen unjustified bans a day.

The overwatch community is so small now itâs really not a problem to employ people to look this through. But i guess blizz rather fire 800 people and give multi-million dollar sallaries to higher-managment even though stock is falling. When the ship is sinking you try to take as many treasures with you before itâs too late and the people that can pull the strings are just trying to milk this cow with the lowest cost possible.

Theyâre definitely not, if you can find proof in a forum post where a moderator/dev confirms they are automatic OK then. If not, youâre just guessing.
Donât just say it without proof, I was told when I appealed a ban that all bans are manually done, I have also seen Devs and Forum mods talk about it as well. Silences for abusive chat are automatic, but being barred from the game itself is a mandatory action im 90% sure.
ok. I got perma banned from playing multiple stacks in a row that all reported me for playing dps. And while i said almost nothing the ban was full automated and instant after the game finished. Also, if the bans werenât automated they would quote what you were banned for unfortunately they donât do that since they canât pinpoint anything specific and context is also irrelevant to them.
edit: i can send you the automated mail they send me that look almost excacly as the other bans.

Jeff literally said they implemented this âaction once game endsâ after tons of people in the community complained about people DCing in the middle of a match. So yea, still not automated.
Obviously the mod that was reviewing your reports agreed with whoever was reporting you. If âmultiple stacks in a rowâ are reporting you its highly likely you deserved itâŚ
Iv been banned when I hadnât touched the game in 4 days, I randomly received an email at midnight that said my account had been suspended for 10 days. No warning, nothing. When I appealed it, the Mod told me that all bans are thoroughly investigated and anytime an account is actioned it is done by an actual person.

Bruh we can say the same. Proof us that is not automated. But it is.
You get an automated ban after some reports. But you can get banned manually for some cases, like hacking or throwing on purpose. But most bans are automated. Simple as that

Oh i guess thats why we have constant torb mains complaining about bans. May i remind you about people such as fuey500 or stevoo that got auto-banned ON STREAM. But i guess you just canât be reasonable.

Both those people appealed their bans every single time. And every single time their case was reviewed by an actual person. Most of the time those appeals ended up being overturned, but not always. Different situations had different outcomes.
You know, like something that isnât automatic.
So which one is it? You start to contradict yourself mate.
Iâve been a victim of this trash system quite a few times and its stupid Blizzard wont do anything about it theyâll just go ahead and tell you a lie it is DISGUSTING
Apparently I âintentionally feed ult chargeâ into the enemy team and âintentionally dieâ with a 70% win rate and actually gaining SR instead of losing it so I gave up and accepted that Blizzard does not care.

Dude if youâre doing this enough to accumulate reports for a ban, its entirely possible that you ARE actually doing that. If youâd like me to review your gameplay and assess then sure. But just on your word iâm not convincedâŚ
