Hey guys,
This afternoon, after about 4pm AEST, my ping just about quadrupled to 250-300.
Lag was intense and made hit scan impossible.
Thought it was isolated to me until every game more and more people started complaining of the same issue in AUS only.
Haven’t had a single playable game for the last couple hours.
Is there an issue with Australian servers?

same. but im from NZ.
This puts me right off playing this game. you don’t even have control of your own hero at the best of times with all the CC. with ping over 200 that’s just another slap in the face.
its almost like they are trying to kill their own game. no Dev updates and now this…

It was rough today.
I just logged out after 3 games.
Only playable hero’s were bastion & junkrat.
250ms is nasty
Same issues here in NZ, on Vodafone. This only started occurring after the Paris update.
PLEASE BLIZZARD another day of 300+ ping on AUS/NZ servers with most people complaining of the same every single game. THERE IS A PROBLEM!
Yeah i’ve had major Lag issues with ping and dropping a lot of frames since the Paris Update. FIX YOUR GAME BLIZZARD.
(Also had a lot of Screen Tearing which hasnt happened before the update)

As far as I can tell, Aus servers are down. Its routing us to PSE1, which is why ping is
so high. Regardless, the game is pretty much unplayable at 160ms.

Yep can confirm just had 5 games with most, if not the entire lobby claiming to be from Aus with high ping.
I know its night time over there Bliz but surely you have someone on call to help us?

We’re also being put in games with non-Aus players who don’t have our ping issues. Games are pretty unfair for Aus players at the moment.

Can confirm that all Quickplay games I have played tonight have been non Australian Servers. 200+ ping for all games.

I use to hate the whining because all this generation does is whine but I’M starting to get pissed off at blizzard myself
Spent thousands of dollars on your merch and you make aussies use AMERICAN servers, when hiccups arise we experience massive unfair lag but the opposition plays fine? hell I even had my account “silenced” when I talked about keeping SJW issues out of the game
I filed a complaint saying why did you ban my account, and they said they didn’t its only silenced and the mods replied to my email saying “thankyou for buying our products but it doesn’t mean you can break the policy/rules”
lol I NEVER broke any rules, no one got targeted, never swore, they just didn’t like speech against leftism and telling them to stop bringing social politics to games/tv/movies etc i wish blizzard would treat their customers better not just treat us as cash cows and also use its games as an outlet to put its social politics on

Totally related to using a VPN. I’ve always had on but since this last patch my latency is around 130 (but stable) , I wouldn’t actually know my latency was high but for I have it showing at the top left hand corner of my game. Turn VPN (because imagine being a responsible adult and actually using a VPN, are we allowed antivirus too? Oh yeah you need to make exception for OW because it has 39 things that if you clean your registry flag as malware) off and its back down to 29. I’ve checked the servers, I’m on the right ones for Oceania pse2 (Sydney) and not pse1 (Singapore). It seems to be a common belief that that is the issue OCE servers are down, I can assure that is not the case… The only difference when I’m in a custom game (by myself) and VPN is off or on. Its got nothing to do with ISP, or even which server you are on. Even on the right servers with a VPN (I’m talking one state capitol away, so not halfway across the world). My other account, don’t use VPN and ping has never gone up at any point in time. Solid 27 while everyone else is complaining of high ping… Blizzard don’t want ppl using VPN’s its pretty much that simple.
Roughly 1/5th of my matches are 180ms+, please fix 
This has been going on for well over a week! Fix this issue for heavens sake, it shouldn’t take this long.
