Aussie Servers are stuffed

It literally just did it again, right now - and yet here I am able to post to the forums. I’m trying to reconnect right now - this is BS.

My household is having similar issues where we disconnect randomly during matches. Prior to today we’ve never had any connection issues to speak of. We’re in NSW Australia.

I have been disconnected a total of 6 times (I didn’t get banned each time)

I can load every single other game/website/download/LITERALLY ANYTHING, but apparently blizzard is so technically inferior that even the support site has been telling me I can’t connect. Just got dropped from a ranked game for the 4th time, with the third time being a 2 hour suspension, and a game I reconnected to earlier, WITHIN 20 F****** SECONDS TOOK ME DOWN A COMMENDATION LEVEL. I wouldnt care if they reverted ALL SR changes from today, and I managed to climb back from the 160ish SR I lost from getting dc’ed, if they can at least say it wont happen again.

Yes dropped 4 times today and then can’t log back in until restarting my computer, never had drop outs before today

I cant even create a support ticket either, just doesnt load lol

I wanted to provide an update on this issue! We are seeing reports of a routing issue to our servers for AU and SEA users. Main reports are from iiNet Limited and TPG Telecom Limited users but others may see this problem if they are using the same route.

The servers appear to be fine but getting them for some users is the problem. We are looking into this, as always WinMTRs are extremely helpful.

Will provide an update once I get any new information!

Is anything going to be done about the people who have been affected or do we kinda just have to suck it up?

Same thing for me just now, got dropped joining a game so now I’m up to a 10 minute suspension.

Once again, attempted to connect here using a different route and it also failed.

Nice try claiming the reports are coming from TPG/iiNet - yeah, no kidding, because that’s who the majority of the population use.

Edit: And now just to add insult to injury I’ve just hit another Overwatch bug where it’s switched me back to Windows, and completely taken control of my mouse cursor, and completely prevented me from being able to alt-tab back to the game - the process thumbnails would show up, but won’t activate to switch to that process, and I can’t use the mouse at all, can’t ctrl-shift-escape - keyboard shortcuts I could find that worked were ctrl-alt-del and alt-tab, but then once I could even bring up the task manager I couldn’t interact with it.

This is rubbish. So now I’ll probably go back in to OW and have an even longer suspension.

I’m not losing anymore ranked matches because I’ve simply disconnected and aren’t given the option to go back to the match when I reconnect. So how am I supposed to test the issue using the winMTR tool?
I could play quickplay but I’m already being warned that if I “leave” anymore matches I’ll be penalised.

Oh wow, nice. So while I’m suspended I’m playing quickplay, and I’ve just been dropped from the QP game I was in in the middle of nowhere. No packetloss or anything. As you can see, I’m posting here just fine. Can’t log back in.

Blizzard need to understand that if I do end up banned from playing a game I’ve paid for, I’ll be asking for a credit card chargeback on every single item I’ve paid for on to this account - and the law will be on my side.

I don’t mind servers having issues. But when you start banning players for YOUR problem, you have a major issue, and I can see this ending in a class action if they insist on revoking access to a product people have paid money for access to and you’re not providing that service.

I’ve been kicked at least 10-15 times from comp matches in the last 24 hours. Sometimes you can get back in straight away but other times you can’t.
To top off this garbage, your game has banned me from comp play on top of already giving me the loss.

yep im now on a 2 hour ban, because of server disconnect. Has been happening constantly for 2 days, and I’ve gone from on the verge of gold to now I assume bronze, as I had dropped to 1600 before this latest disconnect a few minutes ago.

I assume its cost me all my karma or whatever its called, I was on 3 I think now it will be reset to zero?

I’ve used the WinMTR tool for a good half an hour now and so far it shows almost a 100% packet loss after only a second of runtime regardless of what IP/server I’m connected too in Overwatch.

When used in a custom game it also displayed a 100% packet loss and I was promptly disconnected from my own custom game the first test.
Every match after presents a new server IP address and is never the same IP displayed in the upper left hand of the network diagnosis (ctrl+shift+N).

This is bloody unbelievable, just got dropped from quickplay again right while we were capping the first point.

Just lost a comp game because we were basically cycling people due to DC’s.

Then I got stuck on battlenets login screen.

I just got an 8 hour ban after serving the 2 hour ban. However…the 8 hour ban came even after i rejoined the match (first one i’ve been able to rejoin with all these server crashes in 2 days), we won, half the other team were missing when i came back (im guessing server crashes).

So i re-joined, won, and received an 8 hour ban anyway. And i’m now in bronze, it’s cost me around 500? SR now.

Let’s just appreciate the irony of Blizzard hosting the Overwatch world cup and trying to expand the audience and scope of the competitive scene, and at the very same time, an entire region has been having server crashes for days, people are losing hundreds of SR and getting banned…and not a single response from blizzard.

I wonder if blizzcon virtual ticket holders are also having issues? Because when overwatch servers crash for me, EVERYTHING blizzard is inaccessible to me. Then it all comes back online at the same time.
