Audio issues, missing sounds

I know there was an issue with one of the recent windows updates that screwed up the audio for some games, and I know it was fixed in the last windows update which I know I have installed, and all my drivers are up to date.

I’m still having issues with some sounds especially footsteps coming from behind me. Today while playing I was being attacked by symmetra, she was behind me, I heard no footsteps and heard absolutely no sound from her primary fire. I was confused what the hell I was taking damage from until I turned around and it was too late.

Is anyone else having these issues, and does anyone know a fix for it?

Apparently, in the patch notes it says they increased audio for her primary fire. Not sure if that was the resolve to the bug or not.

I legitimately couldn’t hear her primary fire while she was microwaving me to death directly behind me. Either it’s a bug or there’s something wrong with the directional audio, in the replay I couldn’t hear it either.
