Attempting positivity: Favourite visual/skin for each role?

OW2 is like taking a preview at hell right now. Greed beyond reasoning, balance patches going extinct you’d think they were lost in the last ice-age, and the forums/reddit is bombed with negativity (I would know, 'cause I’m disappointed too).
I am not attempting to endorse nor support the incredibly stupid, expensive and abusive monetization of Acti-Blizz here, so please limit discussion of that, and just pick OW1 exclusive skins if you want

So let’s get some positivity in the forums!
What is your favourite looking character, and your favourite skin, just based entirely on their look/how well it fits. If you can, disregard exclusivity. I love Tyrande Symmetra, and Blizzcon Bastion, but a lot of that is because I can’t get them.
Hard mode: aside-from/nor-considering-your-bias-for your main

Tank: Atlantic All Stars Reinhardt
I just love the hammer, and the way the “jade” in the hammer-head gives it an awesome silhouette. Also a huge sucker for the nature-themed skins (the Forest Spirit for Orisa is also really awesome), and it just looks so good with the tree-elements on Rein.

Damage: Mechaqueen Pharah
While there are so many good damage hero skins, I think Mechaqueen Pharah has to be my all-time favorite. Later in OW1’s life-cycle there were so many flashy skins added for all the heroes, but I just remember getting Mechaqueen early on, thinking how cool it looked and how well it fit Pharah. Paired with the “Touchdown” highlight intro, it’s the coolest.

Support: Night Owl Ana
I love purple. I love owls. I love Ana (though I somehow never manage to heal well with her in OW2…). The weapon is awesome, love the claws on the scope, her feet are awesome, and I feel like it fits her character. There’s just something about how they managed to make it fit her silhouette so well, but at the same time be so creative in making her a bird-armor. Excellent work.

Honorable mentions for each class:
Noxious Roadhog, Oasis Symmetra, Devil Mercy

My favourite ones are the ones that are years old which we got for free, and now they are selling them for £20 :smiley:

Dude I laughed cuz its so sad… Everything at this point that was likeable is just bugged or broken beyond reason.

No matter how much you dose the copium in a attempt to be positive, Blizzard simply left not much to be positive about left for us.

Close your eyes for a second and attempt to think that OW2 never happened.

Doesn’t even have to be a skin, what hero do you think looks the best of each category?
I’m probably stupid for even trying to make a thread in current age not bashing on Blizz, but hey, I’m browsing the forums and would love for some threads to not be negative. I swear, I’m angrier than you at blizzard, and I am in no way endorsing their absolute goblin behavior because it’s a soul-less company stuck on the tip of Bobby’s d**k.
This thread is in no way in support of blizzard and their current way of doing things, but for the community to talk about some of the cool art of OW.

I hated Sigma when he came out, I thought he was a bland character at first glance. Then they released Maestro Sig and all the synapsis in my brain rearranged themselves and I looked at all his story stuff, so now he’s my favorite. I probably would have enjoyed him anyway without the skin, but it definetly had a hand in changing my mind.

And Noire Widow. I don’t own it but I’ve drawn fanart of it before, I like the over the top idea of someone getting a bunch of cables jammed in their head as to download a brainwashing.

Tjorborn can act as a tank dps and support all at the same time.

Tbh im more of a functional dude I don’t really care about skins but DH Sombra and Graffiti Tracer are pretty sweet.

I’m so sorry that you fail to read the thread, so let me reply just to you.
I am not shilling nor endorsing Blizzard’s horrendous monetization. It’s bad beyond worse and everyone playing OW2 should be offended that they are presented with absolute dog-sh○t prices and half-as○ed cosmetics. I am way more upset at blizzard than what you are so please sit quietly.
I’m way too old to have all my time being wasted on being angry, so I wanted to get some positivity on the forums for the unarguably cool skins and hero designs of OW (even though the money in OW2 is s○it, these skins were free in OW1).

My favorite skins are the ones that are half a decade old, were free in Overwatch 1, and now are being locked behind a paywall and sold in “on sale” bundles. (which Blizzard 100% will get into legal trouble for.)

For the dad memes, the Salt Rifle, the Diet Coke “Drink-up!”

Bonus points when combined with the Grillmaster highlight. Once when a teammate got the POTG with Grillmaster, I quipped “I like my (enemy) Genji medium rare please?”

The thing is lootboxes were perfectly legal and were already on their way out, hence why Blizzard removed them in OW2, what Blizzard is doing with the false bundle “sales” is 100% illegal in most parts of the world.
