Game is in such a bad state right now. People not being banned for cheating or throwing games, unbalanced matchmaking, nothing done about smurfing, unbalanced heros… What do you guys do all day over there? Please tell me because it looks like you do nothing.

Surely if this were actually true the player numbers would be falling off.
I think they’re only down a little because the seasons now done and dead. Will head back to normal numbers in a week or 2.

They get banned at least if the Thank you for the report! message isn’t a lie.
I only report for hacking and every time I log in I get multiple Thank you for the Report! messages.
They’re doing stuff, they’ve made some good changes, but the most damning thing about the game is the matchmaker. The leadership doesn’t realize it doesn’t matter how balanced or fun the game is, if the matchmaker is broken people won’t play. I love the game but as soon as I see the loss streak start (I know exactly how to identify it, I know when it will happen and how long it will happen for) I just stop playing, others will just be confused and stop playing forever, as they already have.

Part of it is because ranked can take up to half an hour with stalling on some maps and the mode itself isn’t that fun or rewarding. You have to grind too hard to go up unless you are 4 ranks below where you should be and even then…more recent unranked to GMs are pretty hard even for the best players, and former GMs are stuck in diamond and masters.
The matchmaker is the worst in the history of FPS gaming, hands down…
Been trying to do my tank placements today and 4 games in a row, i had nothing but throwers on my team, including fresh players off of their 50QP wins… I mean seriously… 50QP wins is the most ridiculous requirement to unlock comp, ever… It should be 250 minimum so that these new players knows how to at least play, know the maps etc before joining competitive while looking like a lost child.
I also got matched against masters players to boot, and they were of course, stacked… Two of the matches were high ranks boosting their low ranked friends.
One match were a cheater stack with at least 2 of them using walls. One of those wallhackers looked completely lost on midtown and was shooting at my teammates who were behind walls. They even tried to kill our team’s Illari’s healing pylong from behind a wall…
Blizzard is literally killing this game by not addressing the serious issues which is the matchmaker, smurfing and cheating.
There’s a reason a lot of the top streamers are switching more and more to other games.

here is the reason blizzard is braindead idiotes. hidden profiles and you can not see who is in a group both abused to cheat and boost. makeing the game free so ppl just leave and play on another account. all blizzard do is make the game better for cheaters and boosters this is also why ranked is so bad.

congrats overwatch it takes a special kinda bad to be the worst game EVER on steam. Have you seen some of the adult games… you are worse than that (according to ratings)
they are diverting their coding time on items that directly generate money (like skins or mythic weapon skins and stuff like that). Fixing core game issues like MM or balancing do not directly generate money and hence, not a pressing item for devs/management.
Tell us you know nothing about game development without telling us you know nothing about game development…
